*It is sad to me hearing Kenyans calling Kibera Kibra everytime they talk about the area, giving it the Englishman's pronunciation instead of the native one. Maybe soon they will start pronouncing NAiROBi as NAROBAI - very disapointed by these Englishman's culture bootlickers*

@@WammyOnDe *Wikipedia has an aricle on KIBERA - with 1000s of pieces of information. Only 1 reference by a white person T, Parsons uses the term KIBRA. Everywhere else the name used is KiBERA. It even claims the original name is Nubian - for jungle - Kinubi: Forest or Jungle[1]). It is unfortunate and de-africanizing for the media (English) in Kenya to continue promoting this bad habit of giving African names European sounds. I remember the Indians once called their city BOMBAY, they changed this later into Mumbai. Very nice move. I doubt the Kenyan elite were disappointed by that move. They will never dream of calling lake Victoria - Nam Lolwe; Luganda: 'Nnalubaale; Kinyarwanda: Nyanza; also Ukerewe.Nonetheless, I have not lost hope. All these Adoration of the whiteman and his culture will one day disappear as our children grow to love themselves, more.* 🙂
