Looks lhe definitely brought that relaxer way to far down the shaft. Unless 80% of ur hair was new growth🤔 Plus some relaxer got on some prev relaxed ends too. The integrity of those particular strands could become weaken. Adding Vaseline to ur prev relaxed ends helps reduce chances of overlapping the relaxer.

My hair is relaxed too and Mielle did the SAME to my hair! I’m glad im not the only one 😭😭😭 it made my hair dry, hard and kept falling off. I had to chop it off (six inches)! I had a set back in April bc the stylist overprocesd my hair! But I started my healthy hair journey again in July and my hair has been thriving with good products and healthy things😊 Also I relax every 3 months. I did 4 months once and me hair was breaking a lot 🫠 so three is good for me 😂

Mielle Organics did not damage, you had protein overload I do not think her products is for relaxed hair, relaxers has protein in concentrated form...., when my hair was relaxed Mielle did not agree with my hair I had shedding.... Now I am 100% natural the mask conditioner makes my hair stronger I LOVE MIELLE awesome product!

please do not base one persons experience on your decisions, her hair matted like that due to increase amount of protein that both products contained. The relaxer and the oil, read up on information and dont just follow a trend. ignorance is a silent killer!

So im going stretch for maybe 8 months but im kinda scared go bck to stylist since that was only my second relaxer after been natural for 8 years. My hair just keep shedding and by the time I realize it it was to late...I went to another salon that helped me recover what I could. But im like u --it's gone in split second and u put lots of time and effort to grow ur hair.

I'm not sure what you mean for how long a relaxer should last before washing? Do you mean washing in general or how long should the relaxer be on before rinsing it out? I really wouldn't think it was specifically you flat ironing after a relaxer that caused the damage when plenty of other factors come into play, like the temp of the flat iron or how many passes were done, heat protectant etc. Flat ironing after a relaxer is a preference, and a lot of people do it, but it's not a huge no, no. 💜

Most likely the protected style grew your hair (low manipulation) not growth oil. The trim was most likely needed if your hair was not trimmed in almost a year! Good luck on your journey😊

She overprocesses your hair. She applies the relaxer on your new growth, but during smoothing, it gets dragged onto your relaxed hair. Before your next relaxer, add an oil to your relaxed ends. It will help prevent the overlapping. Overall, your hair looks really good. It's just the overlapping creates damage you try so hard to prevent

The only product that has been any good from the Mielle brand is the Rosemary mint hair drops, but the Mielle shampoo and conditioner caused my hair to fall out. I know this for a fact, because the moment I stopped using it and switch back to the more expensive shampoo that I was using, even though I didn’t feel like spending money on it at that time, the shedding stopped. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

I think she didn’t deep condition cuz she already time after she relaxed your hair when she put under the dryer then rinsed it out. Normally, you shouldn’t dye and relax your hair in the same day and should wait about 2 weeks. She was probably trying to lessen the stress on your hair with all the manipulation happening.
