I’ve been there in the throes of uncertainty, negativity, and even deep depression far too many times to count, and its definitely true that oftentimes videos like this have been a massive escape from everything for a little while and a huge help mentally. I’m not Jeff of course, but from me to you, I’m glad you had some escapism and relax time. I hope everything goes well for you and you’re able to navigate it all and get to a better spot soon. 👍👊

​@@daneofurexistenceyour response means so much I wasn't sure if I should have posted this information but Jeff's videos this week got my mind off things my old landlord wouldn't do any repairs for years even after I ask him to so I had to do repairs then his evil ginger son( who used to live here years ago and destroyed the upstairs)took over and is evicting us because I couldn't fix all the repairs in this old house and is lying saying his dad never knew about the repairs needing to be done if they wanted to kick me out because they want sell or move back in fine but lying is saying a tenant kept repair needs from the landlord is so comically stupid sorry for the long response I really appreciate you responding back

The way Jeff responds to the torment of that incomprehensible ski jump is so relatable. There's been so many times in many games where I've been presented with a similarly cruel mechanic and responded with breathless, "What the fuck did I...?!" and then deep breathess and long silences as I begin another futile attempt.

Actually that WCW game was actually a reskin of Superstar Pro Wrestling, a Japanese Famicom wrestling game by Nichibutsu (Nihon Bussan), which has Japanese wrestlers, and both games also have the Road Warriors as playable characters too, but this wasn't the first WCW game, it was actually UWC by Seta/Thinking Rabbit, which was supposed to be released (although unannounced) but canceled, and has some of the WCW wrestlers at the time. A prototype for it was found years ago btw.

Some fun facts about the WCW game. - The "WCW Master" was just Andre the Giant, who never had a match in WCW. - Scott Steiner had just debuted that year so only Rick made it in. - The whole thing is a reskin of Super Star Pro Wrestling, which is why most of the finishers are wrong. Despite the fact that the Road Warriors are in both games, Hawk from SSPW was reskinned into Michael Hayes and Stan Hansen was reskinned into Hawk. Animal was kept the same. - It's the only game to ever have Kevin Sullivan in it.

If Heavy Shreddin' had a practice mode at bare minimum. (edit: you didn't even see the half-pipe section, and that's where the game goes from "bad" to "how was this allowed to happen?")

The meter is a progression system where more power comes the better you do, the more moves you land and the worse your opponent is. WCW isn't the best, but it's certainly not the worst of the 8 bit wrestling era. It's all about the kicks, Jeff. Getting the range, timing. Then maxing out the power meter for moves.

I had Championship Pool for the SNES. The NES version isn't too bad in comparison. The SNES game has nicer music, with the option to switch to different music tracks. But at its core, it is the same game. If I am not mistaken, the SNES port allows you to see the opponent moves, but you can also skip them too. It is on the Genesis too. Cobra Command is an interesting Choplifter clone in theory. But it is really flawed. I like the audio samples from that WCW game.

i felt bad watching you hit that hill over and over. at least you got passe the truck. sorry you had to play that. still have not see the game i remember renting as a kid and thinking this is the worst thing ever. don't remember the name but i think it was a side racing idea. another thought. hearing all the music and effects now i would have just turned the sound off. ha i typed to fast. what is that song and why can t they play it correctly. ha.
