Schaaf hero 5 actually reduces wind and noise. I guess you weren't using hero 5?
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
+GoPro Man Did you realize that in this video not a single bit of wind can be heard? Because L.A.76's GoPro (I think it was a Hero 4 Silver) was placed behind the Ninja's windshield. The new 3-microphone system plus the weird electronic noise filtering of the Hero5 actually make the wind noise sound a lot worse. Mainly because also GoPro can't change the laws of physic and audio recording. But I had to laugh out loud when I thought of their "reduced wind noise" marketing slogan when listening to the Hero5's audio taken on my bike for the first time. Made my ears bleed.

I've wondered "how did schaaf look like when i heard those peg stratches" so much. Still, great work on that video. Stable camera on a bike make me dizzy but totally worth it. By the way, don't use at your max performance. Keep some to yourself. So you can still have some place when you realised that something bad is going to happen. Didn't know that you had an accident. Hope you are ok and there is nothing to worry about. Love from Turkey. I do feel relaxed when i'm watching your videos. My country made a terrible decision recently and i feel depressed and worried about our future. The air, the view is so damn peaceful. Keep up the good work

Though I didnt test the audio of Hero 5, many have actually praised it and most of them were not using it for motorcycles. It can handle the casual breeze and winds you get when walking around but it would be helpless for the wind noise on a motorcycle and yeah, this video only had the vibration noise, not wind :)

I'm wondering, did you ever scrape the pegs of a street triple? I'm asking this because i have a street triple r 2014 and im wondering how far i could lean the thing over. My body position is probably not perfect at all but i dont have the so called chicken strips anymore. So basicly i dont know how much further i can lean now, since in theory leaning further than the edge of the tire should reduce your grip on the road? In any case, if you can scrape your pegs on the street triple, i should be able to do that with my bike aswell. So that could be an indicator for maximum lean angle (for me atleast). I really dont wanna crash my bke because i was going to far :(
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
I didn't because the last time I rode one was in 2011. My skills were not that good back then. But I'm pretty sure I would NOT manage to get them down. The Street Triple has relatively big ground clearance.

I can't believe how much lean angle you get for such slow turns! You really do beat the hell out of that bike, the zx10 was just putting along behind you with like 10 degrees less lean angle for every corner. It seems like you don't really apex corners, I think that's why your transitions look so violent. This was a great video though, glad I got to see your riding position behind. I don't think i've ever seen someone ride as neutral as you do and go that quickly.

Schöne Linie, gute Streckenkenntnis, flinkes Handling deiner CB 500, auch dank relativ schmalem Hinterreifen. Kleiner Kritikpunkt: spez. in Linkskurven, z.
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
@lebon99157 жыл бұрын
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын

Getting back after a crash is different for everybody and seeing somebody handle it like nothing can actually hurt you a lot, since it will push you into handling it just as quickly. After having a crash, it usually helps the most to understand what went wrong and how to prevent it next time around, then get your confidence back up on easier, uncluttered roads, or ideally a racetrack, but always at your own pace. You should always be and feel in control when riding a bike. Don´t worry about others dealing with crashes and focus on yourself :) . And good luck getting back out there :) .
@seventysevencats7 жыл бұрын
Freeman Sorry that I have edited my previous comment as I was unhappy with it, but thank you for the answer.
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын
Freeman is right. And I was worried the crash permanently damaged my confidence. But since my crash happened because of changing road conditions (dry to wet without me noticing it in time) I knew exactly what had gone wrong. That's why it wasn't that difficult to get back into the zone right after the crash, when the conditions were good

I've edited my previous comment because after second thought I realised that maybe when you talked about getting your confidence back in a previous video, you might have meant from the lack of riding during winter. In my case, despite knowing what I did wrong (tight roundabout in heavy rain, going in too fast and about to go off road, I leaned more instead of trying to gently use the brakes: lowside), the feeling of my rear wheel sliding is still there. I know that in the dry I'll manage to overcome that but when it's wet, I'm still chickening out. Still, my main mistake was/is trying to rush the steps instead of properly learning the basics.

@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын

it's to see you rippibg it up from behind when someone else does the filming. The newer goproS don't match the older ones for sound quality. Great ride.

hey Schaaf fährst du auch rennradl?
@Schaaf7 жыл бұрын

Somehow this video looks alot more normal on 0.75 speed. Normal speed seems very sped up in my opinion.
@patiencelarson41287 жыл бұрын
Flytrox Read the description before commenting, eventhough it isn't a proof the video wasn't sped up, it might explain the feeling ;)
@Flytrox7 жыл бұрын
In the description he is talking about his other videos from his pov where it looks to be really fast and sped up but it isn't. He explains that from another perspective, like this one, his riding doesn't really look all that fast. But to me this still looks sped up. Read the description once more and you'll understand what i'm talking about. ;)
