Alicorns are in the 3 tribes. The unicorn, pegasus and earth ponies shining armor is a unicorn and cadence was born a pegasus, none of them are earth ponies

3:45 We know that they were mentored under the wizard guy to take on the task of raising and lowering the sun and moon, so maybe once they were able to do it(fulfilling their destinys) they got their cutie marks and awakened as alicorns(I’m thinking the first in history). I’m pretty sure that since Celestia and Luna were the first alicorns and they’ve never had time for children of their own, cadence was the first alicorn to have a baby, so flurry heart was also an alicorn by default since her mother is an alicorn.

I have a rather different take on -Daughter of C'Thulhu- Flurry Heart. In my headcanon, she is not a true alicorn. Instead, I borrow a concept first introduced to me by the fimfic writer, CvBrony, in his fic, _Rites of Ascension_ . In _Rites_ , Cadance is actually a hybrid pony called a winged unicorn. (pegasus + unicorn) That is what -Spawn of Satan- Flurry is in my headcanon. (Her mother is -a whorse- an alicorn.)

It would make sense of flurry heart to be her parents together because in the stain glass window she is wearing a sort of "armour" with a copy of the crystal heart imbedded into it and Cadence always had wings while shining armour was a unicorn so flurry is a mix of love

my theory goes as followed: flurry was *born* an alicorn because by simply existing she created light magic, aka hope, which is why the crystal empire would be excited for the crystalling, why the crystal heart would be more powerful than ever, why the idea of her ruling with her mom makes sense, and why she would be the last hope of equestria. tying back to what was said in the video as the heart spreading “love and light,” flurry’s destiny was predetermined because she was born to a princess that was half of what the heart represented, and thus is able to be born an alicorn

Something with yellow in it. If you’ve noticed, a unicorn or alicorn’s magic aura is the same color as one of two things: their eyes or part of their cutie mark. Since Flurry Heart’s aura is yellow and her eyes are blue, that means her cutie mark has to be yellow somewhere.
