I just discovered your videos and I want to say I admire you and your journey to where you are now. You should be so very proud of all your accomplishments. You’ve given me a challenge to myself now. Thank you so much. ❤

Oh Jess! I’m so proud of you! I am considering closing my massage business and staying home with my little one. I know first hand how hard it must have been to come to that decision! I needed to hear everything you said so thank you for being open and transparent!

Oh man you got this! That’s a huge decision to make but only you can know what the right answer is…

You do a video on how you started your business. And how someone can start their business. And maybe some videos on your diet our what you eat in a day.

I love those ideas! I think that would be fun to make content around :)

Listening to you talk about closing your salon was like looking in a mirror. When I decided to let go of my business I was confused by how calm I felt. The decision was agonizing but the execution was ok. I am also much more centered, happy and successful now. I wish the same to you ❤

I’m not sure why you think that other people’s medical decisions made with their doctors are anything you are entitled to have an opinion about, Frank.

Jess, thank you for your transparency and congratulations on your success, changes are never easy! You are very similar to my daughter and she has and still is doing everything right but is frustrated with very little to no weight loss. My question to you, after you lost the weight, can you maintain it without the semaglutide? (I love my halos, they are the best things ever!)

Oh wow! Insulin resistance leads to type 2 diabetes. The diabetes was the reason my hair is so thin (not completely, been happening since premenopausal). The endocrine system runs the body and affects everything. Was on Ozempic from January 2019 until July 2023, then decided to try to control diabetes through diet alone. It is difficult to do. I can't lose weight even though I eat full Keto (fewer than 20 g carbs per day). Just keep on trying though.

I would love to hear more about meditation. Are you following a program, just doing it on your own? I’m still trying to figure out how to quiet my mind enough to meditate - and I feel you on the desperate need to reduce my stress level in order to function!

Jess, thank you for sharing your struggles. It's incredibly comforting to know we're not alone in these experiences. I recently purchased your 12-inch halo and absolutely love it! It's given me the confidence to consider growing my hair out for longer styles. I particularly liked the length you have in this video. Could you advise which halo length would be best to achieve a similar look?

Insulin resistance is awful! So glad the medication helped you. I agree with you about feeling like you never went back to normal after the gestational diabetes. I was actually told that most women who experience gestational diabetes go on to develop type 2 as they get older 🤷🏼♀️ It held true for me but not sure if that was just the doctors opinion or if it was based on studies. So happy for you that you’re feeling better 💕

That’s so interesting!! I’ve just had a feeling for years that it was having some type of affect on me and it has been so frustrating to feel like my body just didn’t work like normal … but I’m so so glad it worked for me and I’d recommend it to anyone else! ❤️

I believe I, too, have insulin resistance, but I have been unable to access semaglutide through my insurance bc I am not T2D. It is VERY expensive without insurance. 😢 Jess, did you get a diagnosis of T2D, or how were you able to get the med?

This is such a great share. Thank you for letting yourself be vulnerable and transparent. So many of us struggle with similar things, and we were never meant to be alone or feel alone in this journey. I’m so thrilled for you. You’re always beautiful, but you look incredible now, healthy and happy. God bless.

Being vulnerable is very hard and social media can be a dual edged sword. We’ve all heard the line ‘comparison is the thief of joy’. Too many women compare themselves to others who seem to have it all, when in fact all we’re seeing is their highlight reel. Wishing you all the best.

Jess as always thanks for being so real and relatable! I love how you spoke on making room in your life. I struggle so much with trying to juggle too much. I tend to say yes to everything thinking I’ll miss opportunity and really I end up blowing out my flame on everything. So thank you for your business advice- I'd love to hear more! Are you still doing in person shadow days or classes? Ps. I’ve always thought you were beautiful but so happy you are feeling better! Keeping on doing your thing!

First of all thank you for watching and your kind words 🫶🏻 Business is a combination of emotions and opportunities and challenges and I think the hardest part in it all is discerning what is good from what is best and worth our time and when things need to change. Sounds like you know exactly where you are at and what you need so I hope you can guard your time and space to only let in what is best from here on out! I don’t have shadow days or classes yet :/ I’ve felt like I needed to come out on the other side of this before I offered advice to anyone lol but I’d love to in the future!

Jess, thanks for sharing your journey with us. I have some similar challenges so I can relate to yours and get inspiration from your story. I bought an original fall from you around Christmas. My hair continued to fall out until late April. That fall has saved my sanity. I’m now thinking about taking my next hair step. Again, thanks for all you have done.
