Get some 1/4" or 1/2" wire mesh. Build a wooden frame that will fit on the 4 wheeler trailer and then attach the wire mesh to it. Shovel your dirt on the mesh, shake it, dump the larger rocks using the framed mesh (not the trailer), repeat until you get a full trailer of sifted dirt.

Cheap and cheerful bathroom door! You could put a couple of hooks up on the solid plywood portion or a shelf near the top for extra tp or bath products. Do not reassign Eli! I’m not even going to think about the snake. 🥴

If you would have taped Uber where you gonna cut the tape with a kept it from cracking, so your cup would go right down the middle of the tape across your lying. You tape the tape where you're gonna draw your line? Then draw your line figure right in the middle of your tape. Then when you cut it like a sight, it'll be easy.

You should look into getting a rock bucket for your backhoe , maybe fashion a quick connect assembly like a skid steer for them .. with all the big rocks you have been digging out. You might want to think about getting a hydraulic thumb for the backhoe to be able to grab the big rocks and left them out of the hole .. I know money is tight, but these are some things to think about and maybe budget for ..

I saw a screening technique that would help you out a lot. Build a large wood picture frame and tack your your screening material over it. It is bigger so it would sift more dirt at a time.

Bullsnake is correct AKA Gopher Snake. They will bite at times and scare the you know what out of you when they puff up and hiss. I tried to shoo one off the highway one time and it came after me!! Common belief is they keep rattlesnakes away...they do NOT!

Instead of that roof hatch, what about a quick & dirty vent fan to dispel odors? In a tiny place, that can quickly become unbearable. Having lived on an aircraft carrier, I am nauseatingly familiar with this aspect. I've also installed one of those xylophone doors myself, in a little rathole rental property for a slumlord. They work surprisingly well. And from a grammar cop, a HUGE thank you to Natalie for stating that the snakes were not venomous, rather than poisonous. Details matter.
