I recently spoke with Direct Connection regarding their Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye stage kits and they revealed that they are also developing stage kits for the current Scatpack and the 2025 Charger. DC plans to have stage kits available for both the EV and Hurricane powered charger, which should be out next year. 392 kits should be available by late summer. Look at Buddas' recent post about Mustang GT and adding a supercharger with warranty still from specified dealers. Adding over 300 hp to the 5.0. Raising it to 810 hp. $50,000. Dodge ruined themselves! Greedy asses!

If they manage to get the power of 392 to around 550Hp while keeping it N/A and making it available to all 392 powered vehicles (with the exception of the Ram HD variant), it will be amazing.

Challenger will always be my favorite car. It’s not about 0-60 or max speed. The raw look of a challenger, good seating, trunk, fun as hell to drive…. And yeah, it’s quick. Got rid of my challenger shakedown tho. Got me a custom built 2023 Ram 1500 Laramie, absolutely LOVE my truck!

Late model muscle is so good out of the box..unless there was a smog legal supercharger kit I wouldnt bother bolt ons most do little or nothing at all. Never heard bolt ons 80s even 90s. Headers intake carb etc were a given. If you had a cam it was "stock with a cam" When I read "FULL bolt ons" cant help but laugh a bit.

I just took my Hellcat yesterday to have the kits installed. The service advisor told me he had a meeting this week and was told that Direct Connection will stop selling the kits for the Hellcats and Redeyes.

Great timing, I was just on the Direct Connection site a couple of days ago looking for a Scat Pack Stage Kit for my 2022 Challenger 1320. If I can get one and retain my 8 year Mopar warranty I'm all in! I'd be thrilled with a more aggressive 96 octane race tune for use at the drag strip! Thank you for the scanner review.

Unfortunately stage kits will void the warranty on any extended warranty even the MOPAR one. It only retains the warranty for the initial 5yr powertrain warranty.

Finally some good news on the Dodge performance front. Now the only question I've got is will the folks @ Direct Connection be releasing a Stage 2 Performance package for 2015-2018 Hellcat owners? They've already done so for the 2019 and above Red Eyes & Super Stocks so I'm just wondering if and when the Stage 2ellcat performance kit ever come to pass?

Great news for owners of the new cars, but - what would you recommend for older cars? I have 2016 5.7 and 2008 6.1 Hemis. Just starting to think about putting more power into them. Still worthwhile going through Dodge with the warranty on both being long gone? Or better to find an aftermarket muscle shop to do the work?

Look up a performance shop that has a Dyno. I’m looking at the Challenger to put a Procharger on. Did that with my LS2 2006 Corvette. They dialed it in and fixed a bunch of things I didn’t see. The Vette puts out 578 hp at the wheels. An Army friend has a Hellcat and now I want a Challenger with the parts I want . Good luck on your quest.

Wiht late model cars best thing you can do is to put a supercharger on it. Bolt ons do little to nothing...as the guy said mfrs have done the hotrodding for us. Hard to improve on what they sell off the lot which is huge.

As a 392 WB Shakedown Manual last call owner... This has peaked my interest. I'll see what comes out and if it's worth the $$$$. For now I'm "ok" with the power with th 392. But definitely wouldn't mind an extra 50-75 to the wheels. The 6M I feel like there's more to play with power wise.

392 is maxxed from factory and 5.7 is neutered. The price of a 392 is tempting, but I’d rather put the 4k$ difference on my rt. Also my RT is loaded, I can’t find a loaded 392 locally even in purple.

Yeah the 87 Buick gn 3.8 turbo 6 easily could take 4 seconds off the quarter time and last (ask how I know). The hurricane could probably take seconds off as well, but I bet it doesn’t live 100k miles at most if you do the same to it. The Buick gn was/is a unicorn.

I know a lot of folks really grumble about there not being that big growling V8 anymore, but what you are talking about with the 6 cylinder Hurricane engine throwing down that kind of power how could you not be excited? You get big power and fuel efficiency, that's a win-win in my book. I can't wait to see what people do with the Hurricane engines when they can start buying them as crate engines. Challenger GT and SXT guys are gonna make some seriously badass sleepers! As far as the talk about the RT getting no love, my Shaker is out of warranty anyway so a Hellion Twin Turbo system is in my future. How are 6.4s “maximize” from the factory. I had ported heads headers bigger cam bigger tb got a better intake of course a tune and it made 495 to the wheels. If I went E85 it would have made 520-530. Overall thats 100 hp more than stock.

I've been saying this for years to people that say the 392 is maximized from factory... no tf it's not, it's stout for sure, but no car is maximized from the factory. Plenty of room to pull power with bolt on's to let that big 6.4 breathe better and working on fixing that tepid ECU tune from the factory. Did wonders for my 392... how it should've came from the factory.

So, I have 2 questions. 1) I have the Durango SRT 392, will the stages work with my drive terrain/computer system? 2) I've heard rumors that the tunes will put the 392 at 670 at the crank, that being said (I know it's all under warrenty) but would the engine/transmission be able to handle that power?

The 6.4 is pretty hot from the factory and will serve you many years and hard runs if you just leave it alone. The motor doesn’t like the mods it takes to go “next level”. It would be more cost effective to just buy a hellcat.

I wouldn't get too excited about what kind of performance mods you might be able to do to the Hurricane chargers until you know if the rest of the drive train can handle any mods. No one knows what it will weigh or what transmission its going to use. And will the AWD handle much of an HP increase. You could start throwing more horsepower at the engine only to start blowing apart other parts of the drive train. So I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet.

I saw a video from Hemi Muscle and he showed an email from Dodge that if you do the upgrades and have been found racing when your car breaks your warranty is voided. Even if you purchased an extended warranty through Dodge they won't honor it as well
