So happy you are back! I hope you enjoyed a well deserved vacation. I think with the boxes there, it will keep the hoses less stressed and not having people's hands on them. Yes the guards need to enforce the new rules, but a part of me hopes we get a yell once in awhile from the guard! 😂😂

Thank you! John for raising to the occasion. And providing us With the glorious arrival of the Royal Guards. I adore seeing both regiments arrival and departure. I had to pinch myself. To be sure I wasn't dreaming, it was all so beautiful. Kudos! To the handsome trooper in camo/Life Guards. For already setting a positive precedent. I'm eager to see. How the no touch rule/marked lines will work. I know it's a work in progress. In the near future. I think it would be ideal. To put some sort of military sign. In the front and back. To remind tourists they're entering a military establishment Decorum and respect is required. Well done! ❤️❤️💂♀️🐴

I'm so glad the Kings Guards Horses are being protected. No more rein grabbers. Maulers.
@6-kids-ukАй бұрын
Those white lines are to protect the tourists and not the horses. The side benefit is that the horses have space but a horse doesn't see a white line on the floor as protective.
@AmericanPatriot-q6hАй бұрын
@@6-kids-ukTourists ARE the reason for the white lines. Boundaries. People were crowding. Grabbing the reins. Actually touching the Guards. Mauling their faces. Tourists did not respect . Just grabbed as they pleased.
@6-kids-ukАй бұрын
@AmericanPatriot-q6h I said that. The white lines are an attempt to protect people from being bitten. If they don't get close they are safe and the horse gets space too. However, actual HORSE doesn't see those white lines as something to protect them.

@maybarnard1088Ай бұрын
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I think you'll find the idea is to protect the people from being injured by the the horses not the other way around. Much as we prefer to think of it as protecting the horses.

Now that is the way it should be. Horses not being mauled. Both horse and guard at ease. Tourist kept at a safe distance. Shouting troopers reminding the crowd to be respectful, make way. Parents need to HAVE situational awareness before they they can teach their kids, The first tie i was taken to Horse Guards (1960) I was quite firmly in my fathers hand and people didn't act like animals. Most all were of the WWII/II and Korea era and Veterans and had huge respect for the Army.
@meiraloraduncan943Ай бұрын
Seriously don't apologize, parents need to pay attention and teach their children. I'm from the US and I was an elementary school teacher and believe me to many parents aren't teaching their children manner, common sense things, respect, morals or values. It's surprisingly easy to tell which parents are hands on and those who stick a tablet or some device in their hands or plop them in front of a TV. It was very sad to see and was an eye opener after we moved to North Carolina in 2000. I am actually glad in a way that my sudden life threatening health issues forced me to stop teaching in 2013 because it has gotten much worse since Covid.

I say residents because even in USA residents seldom take advantage of their own countries places others travel thousands of miles to see! I am not married to a traveler but one day I want to see my native country…stay in hotels away from home, take advantage of visitor incentives and still understand language even though customs differ everyplace you travel! Lovely to see the horses and Troopers again. The white boxes? Yes, they are long overdue but I know, in my heart, it won't last. People these days just don't care about anything but themselves. If the Trooper had to tell people, already, to not cross the line, then it's a done deal. Without physical barriers, people will continue to break the rules, be disrespectful and not give a darn about anything but the almighty picture of themselves with a horse. Maddening. Love and Blessings from Missouri, USA.

Just caught a glimpse of another video where the Trooper in the right hand box identified the horse as "Hatchet"(?) I'm pretty sure that's what he told the woman who asked. He had quite a conversation with her after she asked to take a photo, then stepped into the 'forbidden zone' and he told her that she couldn't take the picture from inside the lines. It was a video from London Today. I was curious to see what he/she caught from today. So maybe?? Love and Blessings from Missouri, USA.
