@@oxicemusic I think it's bc older consoles had more limitations on what they could even make (in a game development standpoint) and the Sims franchise was really raunchy at the time as well so publishers didn't want that as well? I'm spit balling but it might have to do with a lack of power to create a fully functioning sims game on console

Yes. Collecting the green things (fuel rods maybe) in the desert and hoovering. Punching some meat in the freezer and finding gold and stuff in the desert with a metal detector. Aww I miss it even though it was so random 🤣 I did finish it once or twice. The alien invasion was deffo creepy for a kids game lol 😆

I know that everyone says it all the time but MY GOD the earlier Sims games really had *personality!* They were so quirky and funny and just genuinely fun and entertaining to play. You never knew what was coming, sometimes they were even a little racy or taboo, but that's what made them fun. The Sims 2 and it's spinoffs in particular were crafted with love

The Sims 2 PSP was the very first Sims game I played when I was a kid which spiraled me into loving the series. It was also the game that made me realize I was not straight when my male sim made out with Deputy Duncan... and I liked it. This is very nostalgic. I really love that you finally got your hands on it! ❤️

its amazing that EA were able to create 3 different versions of the sims 2 that had detailed lore, were intuitive and fun to play, and weren't completely broken back in the early 2000s. not to mention all the spin off games. Yet here we are in 2022 and we cant even make one version of the sims work properly.... and its been out for 8 years. ugh thank god for emulators. thanks for the great video!

I'm pretty sure at least part of it is because the Sims 4 was built up as one thing, and then changed midway through- the engine wasn't made for what we would expect it to be able to do. Hopefully they don't make that mistake when making the Sims 5 :,)

Those Sims 2 console versions were unhinged and I loved it. The PS2 version is still a go-to for some stupid multiplayer action, every other month I still check out my hotel in the DS version (in business since 2009), and I still remember the weirdly unsettling atmosphere in this PSP port ❤

Strangetown is also used for the Gameboy Advance version of the game, in which you're hired by Daddy Bigbucks to cause chaos for a hidden camera TV series. The Goth family are the ones who give each episode a rating. I recently posted a few episodes of the game on my channel.

I think an idea is to play in a style of surviving 100 days (similar to Minecraft videos) but make it sims luv. You could voice over some parts to kinda summarize and maybe keep some live gameplay moments. Doesn’t explicitly have to be counting the days but in that manner so you can be engrossed in the story and play during a binge. You could chunk it up into parts to post, if you wanted to do cliff hangers between parts simply for chaos that’s great.
