For those wondering about the cheating allegations In the quarter finals of ptmh3 Simon Nielsen was targeting Javier Dominguez with Sun Cleanser while Javier was under the effect of TOR. This happened in a key situation that lead to Simon winning the game and then the round and after Simon exiled TOR with Haywire Mite. Personally I don’t think it was intentional in anyway we all have misplays even at the highest level

That situation with Javier getting targeted by the sun cleanser would be ruled as a missed trigger on Javiers part. I have had this same thing happen to me but I was targeted with a Hedron Crab trigger and the judge told me It would be a missed trigger on the one rings protection. So no nobody cheated Javier forgot his own trigger and he is responsible for that. Is it unfortunate, yes. I would have loved to see Jeskai control go deeper into the top 8.

@@Itachi__UchihaI'm sorry that that happened to you, but I don't think that that's how it should be ruled at all. Regardless of if its a "missed trigger". There is a judge sitting there who should have pointed it out immediately. If this were an arena event there would be no possibility of this happening. In this game or did he cheat throughout the tourny?
@mtgkid0205
@mtgkid0205 Ай бұрын
@ASCP_Certified he didn't cheat in the sense I don't think he knew he was cheating as he's a very honest player with no cheating background and the card is new and weird. Basically in qf Javier Dominguez had one ring protection and Simon cast suncleanser which more or less locks Javier out but it targets him so he shouldn't have been able to. If he had played correctly Javier would have had his mana open on the next turn responded and have a 99% of winning. Super fucked up mainly on the judge end with multiple watching such an important match without noticing

Ya Simon wouldn't cheat it's just a hard format right now @@mtgkid0205

@@ASCP_Certified1/8 games he targeted the energy deck player while one ring protection was on. The creature he did it with prevent the player to have energy counter and his opponent had 2 clear the skies that use energy to wrath the board...
@ArchaeusDaedolon
@ArchaeusDaedolon Ай бұрын
@@mtgkid0205well the biggest part that suggests cheating was the fact he deliberately chose to not attack. It wasn’t deliberate “cheating” but it came across like one of those players constantly trying to take advantage of opponents lack of attention/rules knowledge.

Congratulations, Daddy hasbro. You soulless corporate lords will keep pushing wizards to their destruction by milking people with these rotating, super broken cards at every modern/commander sets. Ban Nadu? With all those juicy packs still available? Nah, lets ban shuko to allow the format some "time do adjust" and to "explore options". You guys are a joke...

As someone new to magic, I hate watching games with real cards. It’s part of the reason I never tried magic until recently. It’s just so boring and impossible to understand what’s happening. Go back to using arena, I promise you that you’ll get more new fans. Edit: Just realized you have pronouns under the player names 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️
