In addition to playing Nathan Eide at a casual game night I had the privilege of playing him in a store championship! I lost 151-49 points in the final round of Swiss, but Jake proketed his Corran in the butt! Nathan has won 4 store championships in my Area!

I think what it still comes down to is the roll of the dice imho. People can say meta builds and turn zero and rule of 11 etc can win before it starts, back to dials, etc but when the dice are hot they're hot, when they're not they're not. Seems like Nathan's weren't. William's were for the most part. And we give Paul Heaver credit for the build. But a good Slam at the end. And yeah like you say Nathan goes right into the fight. I watch and read more than I play. That's what I got from this anyhow.

Looks like the art of the handshake only exists now in gaming spheres, most other places have gone the way of the "feel how soft my hand is" half-stretch.

Great video, love the player commentary. Small piece of feedback: it's a little jarring to cut to the white border every time you bring in the player comments. Have you tried just flying in the player commentary talking heads over the top of the game? Same locations in the corners should work fine and not cover up too much of the game, and they're only up for a few seconds at a time anyway. Keep it up guys!

Not gonna lie I am work on a paper version of this made with glue and note cards. It is not really star wars based and my rules are different , but the basic ship combat is kinda the same. Like you can target different parts of a ship based on where you attack from, and there are shields you have to break though. There are also the sticks they use to move and attack. I don't know if I want heroes with their own abilities yet.

I think he did a one hard left. But rather than moving the X-Wing out of the way, he used maths to say that was the same as a one hard right from the TIE's side.

Nathan asked me if I would allow this kind of maneuver. I trusted him that it would be the same end result. I would not recommend it, unless your opponent agrees to it.

Mines have to be dropped as an action, after he completes a maneuver (if he didn't bump any obstacles or ships and isn't stressed). Thermal Detonators are dropped before revealing the maneuver dial and don't require an action.

Yeah, he would've eat the cluster for sure. Good call. But it was a pretty hopeless situation for Corran at that point no matter how you slice it.

No, the shot fired from Miranda was a primary weapon, and Ahsoka dodged it. It was the Y-wing's primary which killed her.

it actually was a tlt from miranda that landed one hit on ashoka on first shot, then miranda just regened on the 2nd. Then yeah, the y-wing primary delivered the kill shot.

yes Paul's Naboo list, I saw him play it on video a couple days before Hoth and changed my list. I played to bring two FCS blues but Miranda was a better investment for the same points.

All of his turns were red after the crit. He shouldnt of gotten a shield back. Or did I miss something?

The turns on an E-Wing are not green to begin with, however the banks (think soft turns) are. If you are talking about Corran, then he should be recovering shields when he is executing those maneuvers.

And coming from the point of view of a new player wtf lol every game I see with that list the entire game is based around that one pilot and her bombs. . .
