Definitely a Prince stan. His classic and gothic coords always slap

Calling instagram for the shopping app it is, is so true. Loved hearing Prince’s insights on removing the shame of “I can’t afford it” It took me almost two decades to buy my first Lolita main piece due to my financial situation. What you say about having a max when shopping for new pieces is so important I think. There are many dresses I would love to own, but they always sell for way more than I am willing to spend on a single piece so I have comfortably accepted its something I won’t ever own and I am totally ok with that. Another great video I love this conversation format. So refreshing to hear these perspectives from both of you❤

The last comments were the best part. “I can’t afford it” is a totally valid statement Really loved these collabs with Prince

I'm not why this was recommended to me, I'm not lolita and know nothing about the community, but I watched this full video. It was an interesting peak into a community I knew nothing about !!

This is eye opening to me. I am still relatively new to lolita (2020-2021) so I didn’t know how annoying the shopping addiction jokes were. Thank you!

I understand for some people its just their sense of humour! I think the fact that its so pervasive across the community points to a bigger issue, so I definitely want to make my opinion a part of the conversation. Thank you for watching!

I don't want to assume, but the first question might of been mine. Thank you for answering it and it's beneficial to hear!!

I had to leave a pretty popular egl Discord server because several of the mods often said "don't worry about the money, the dress is worth it" and other similar messages to others. It's really gross

OOF yeah. tbh I have only been in a couple discord servers and haven't really enjoyed either of them. There are some great people sharing lots of love and advice for lolita but there are also so many who encourage bad habits in newbies. i can imagine its hard for new lolitas to figure out which one is the "norm" and what to follow. Thank you for watching!

Throwback to long before I wanted wear lolita but was already very aware of all the shopping possibilities. Including taobao as an option. I commented something about not being able to afford it and someone on facebook was like "Oh you don't know taobao yet." Bitch no. I know there's more than new AP. I literally had to type out "I'm poor" for this person to shut up and stop trying to convince me I can totally afford lolita bc it's supposedly so cheap on taobao. Some people can't afford groceries, don't try to talk anyone into a luxury hobby. For some people 20$s for a skirt is a fortune they can't afford. I'm still really mad about this encounter.

This was wonderful. I think you two bring very important talking points to the scene where lolita is currently existing among the relentlessly consumerist spaces of social media etc. I would LOVE to see more of you two in videos together! Both yours and Prince's coords are delightful as always. Much love from Finland. ♡

Great discussion, and one that doesn't get talked about as much as it should in the lolita community (or just in general), IMHO

These questions are juicy lol. I loved your answers. Also the shopping addiction jokes truly are unfunny. I love lolita so much, but it seems like a lot of the humour/memes haven't evolved much in almost 10+ years and it does frustrate me.
