Dear Professor Krassimir, It is blessing you have this lectures out in public, thank you so so much! I study online and readng books is hard for me with no teacher's guidance. I needed Financial Management for my MBA, I think I am listening and taking notes to the wrong course, but I will listen to all of them now. I have sent the invite on the Linkedin to express my gratitude! Best regards, Anita

The government deals/sells only to primary dealers (which are like very big banks). Then everyone buys from the banks and resells it if they want. The Fed usually buy from the primary dealers. See "Primary Dealers" in Wikipedia.

It takes a lot of hard preparation and teaching talent. Unfortunately, most profs don't even care about their students...

35:00 So just to be clear: the repo agreement _requires_ the holder of collateral to sell it back at the pre-agreed price. Otherwise they could just flip, in your example, $20 into $25.

This is way cool! Bearer bonds, drug money, deliberate misleading by text books, open market operations. I'll bet you know some "stuff" that you wouldn't put on youtube!

This is a fantastic lecture, although it's annoying to wait as you slowly write stuff out on the board. Anyway very clear coverage of some very important material. Thank you.
