Ok so I found this boarding school I want to go to in 8th grade with my best friend. (i am going into 7th right now) me and my friend both probably would need financial aid because we might not be able to afford 50,000 - 60,000 dollar tuitions to get into the school. I dont know much about the complicating stuff but do they give you like a different financial aid process depending on you situation? Also im confused is financial aid where you pay some of it and then the school pays the rest? Or where you pay some then u pay the rest later? Its confusing and i dont even know if we will be able to get in with financial aid since we are both broke which is kinda sad but im under stress cuz idk when i should talk to my parents and my friends parents about boarding school since im going into 7th grade and i want to go in 8th grade because everyone says to apply early, when they say that should i apply while im in 7th grade or in my summer break when im done with 7th grade? Sorry for the long paragraph and the stupid questions im just new to this HNAODSFBBN

Great question Reyyan! When it comes to K-12, the options to pay for school are a bit different. It's best to talk to the private school where you want to attend, and possibly even your counselor at your current school. There could be some options of financial aid or assistance depending on your situation, and what the private school has to offer.
