My advice to new investors: Buy good companies stocks and hold them as long as they are good companies. Just do this and ignore the forecasts and market views which are at best entertaining but completely useless.
@Olsontim2113 күн бұрын
The key to big returns is not big moving stocks. It's managing risk in relationship to reward. Having the correct size on and turning your edge as many times as necessary to reach your goal. That holds true from long term investing to day trading.

If you do decide to make new purchases, have an exit strategy ready. Consider taking partial profits quickly to lock in some gains. I've been in regular contact with a financial analyst since covid. Investing in popular stocks is now quite straightforward; the issue is determining when to buy and sell. My advisor makes investment and exit decisions for my account, which has risen to more than $500K in less than a year.

Such uncertainties are the reasons I don’t base my judgement on a ''heresay'' , 2020 had me holding trash stocks, but thankfully revamp my portfolio through the aid of a pro before seeing significant gains. Quantified is basically taking a strategy which was popularized by Larry Connors using the 2 day RSI and which showed good returns especially on the index since it is mean reverting. Williams %R is an indicator which can easily be substituted for RSI (readings have to be reversed though). The long term upward bias of markets negates trying to short it using this indicator.

Yes, you can. Investing about 80% of that in the S&P 500 at an 8% annual return will grow to about $805k in 30 years. Financial advisors can achieve 10-15% returns, so do your research and consider consulting one.

Almost any long strategy works in a bull market, duh! If you know that market is going to be rising then you don't need a strategy, buy the index and take a vacation. The problem is that nobody knows what kind of market going to be tomorrow, the market may go down or go sideways for the next decade, and a good strategy must be able to handle it.

RSI is better and more consistent with less noise. RSI is literally the best and only indicator you need to find out if you need to jump into a stock. Check any of his past videos on trading strategy. Compare any investors entry points and throw on RSI, and its literally the same thing.
