i´m also using origin 8, i´ve watched a lot of videos about how to get the FWHM value, but none have helped me, the route they use isn´t the same as the one i have here

what can i do if the red line doesn´t try to fit the peak i selected but the whole graphic instead
@AllLabExperiments3 жыл бұрын
Select limited region so that it can fit over data very easily. Or you can do this using gaussian peak fitting... And then control its parameters for better fitting. Check put my peak fitting video for this.

Why do you choose " Gauss" Rather than "Gaussian" From the list? What is the difference between the two? As you were speaking about " Gaussian"
@AllLabExperiments4 жыл бұрын
Hi! I said its gaussian fit. But the function is same as that of gauss. I guess they will give the same results while fitting. One can compare between the two by fitting using both of these functions one by one. Even I will test this n post whatever i get sooner or later... Origin has too many options and generally we skip many of them. so sometimes we go for something and then we stay with it and don,t explore other options... Have a good day

excellent demonstration but have not find the same result while using these both ways.

this depends upon the range of fitting and the randomness in your data.

Thank you sir then how can I calculate the size of nanoparticle
@AllLabExperiments2 жыл бұрын
Use sherrer,s formula. In case of nano particles crystallite size is most probably equal to the particle size. Watch my video on crystallite grain and particle size.

@@varshinipreethi3189 its your learning phasey dear. I think you shpuld do this by yourself. You can also watch my video on XRD all you need to know. You will get to know about these data and its interpretation.

How can we get FWHM value in origin 8.5
@AllLabExperiments4 жыл бұрын
Method is the same. Use those gadgets for quick one or perform proper fitting
