I totally agree that Mac chili is underrated and great for warm skin tones! I specifically sought that one out at a Mac counter because I thought I would feel more comfortable in it. The guy at Mac told me that he didn't think it was as flattering but I got it anyway because I feel way more comfortable in it. Highly recommend!

I think it’s awesome you mentioned the Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks. I have two different shades, Voyager and Pioneer. It is true that it does remain tacky for a bit after application, but it doesn’t dry out my lips, the tackiness does go away (or at least for the most part), and when it does, my lips don’t feel dry, they literally feel like velvet. I love it!

Yes! I'm so glad someone finally mentioned Mac Chili! It's my all time favorite red, for everyday and for special occasions. I'm quite pale but I have a warm undertone and I really do find that this one suits me way better that Ruby Woo for example!

Great recommendations! I hear the Mac Chili lipstick also works extremely well for many pale olive skin tones, for which it can be very hard to find the right red (in fact, I think that's Emily's skin tone)! To remove the Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Liquid Lipstick, it's as simple as using any skins-safe oil you have in the house--baby oil, corn oil, olive oil, whatever--and it comes right off! No need for any special removers!

I just came back from a Euro trip and I brought home with me 6 of the Sephora Lip Stains because of you. Haha. It's not like there's no Sephora in my country but you came across my mind when I was in checking out Sephora in Paris. My favorite red is Besame's Red Velvet! I always get so excited any time I get to wear it and sometimes I will specifically plan an outfit and hairstyle just so I can wear it, haha. 2017 has been the year of lipsticks for me. I had never bothered with lip colors before this year and now I absolutely love to try new ones out. I always have at least some kind of color on my lips anytime I leave the house. Haha. 'Trust me' from colourpop is my favorite red I LOVE the color and the texture, it's one of those lipsticks that look almost velvety on the lips and I never hear anyone talking about it. It looks fresh even after eating and drinking with minimal transfer and it's not too drying either.

I love the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Gazpacho. It's not a red like you showed, a bit darker and definitely a lot more blue toned, but it looks soooo amazing and makes your eyes pop! I wore it for my law ball and got so many compliments. It's not super transfer proof, but if you work it correctly into your lips, it will not fade from your lips.

Really, red lipstick is always gorgeous and mostly used. And red lipstick looks beautiful with all skin types and tones. I am from the Indian subcontinent. We have generally dark or tan skin tone. But, red goes prettier with our tones. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely love Colourpop’s Matte X in Trust Me! I applied it around 8am, had exams, had food (lunch, burgers, Starbucks, etc), went on a flight, arrived home and only managed to remove my lipstick around 1-2am. It still looked like I just applied it.

I have one of those Covergirl Outlast lipsticks! I do like it. The Walgreens in town has them all on clearance though! My favorite reds.....I do love my Lip Sense in Blu-Red. I save it for special occasions when I need something to stay all day. I love my Sephora Cream Lip Stain, of course. I own a lot of reds. I think it’s hard to rank the rest. I certainly have my eyes on Mac’s Russian Red and that Maybelline one! Looks gorgeous!

I'm surprised you didn't mention any Nyx, Rimmel, Milani or Maybelline lipsticks (other than the Matte Ink, which is liquid). Any of those brands has great shades, formulas and prices :) High-end-wise, I love MAC (I would add Lady Danger and Viva Glam I to the ones you already mentioned), Bite Beauty (I FINALLY got to try them and it was love at first swipe :) , Charlotte Tilbury So Marilyn and Chanel Pirate. As for liquid lipsticks, I'm a huge fan of the Sephora ones (thanks to you ;) ) and of the Milani ones, because both formulas are comfortable, long-lasting and there many colours to choose from (including great reds like Always Red, Crimson Crush, Devotion, Amore,...).

Besame Red Velvet is my all time favourite red, but not my favourite formula. Maybelline Color Sensational range is my favourite formula so Pleasure Me Red and Siren in Scarlet are faves, and Pioneer and Voyager in the Matte Super(glue)Stay are phenomenal if I want no touch ups. Nyx Snow White and Alabama are great too but a little drying for me, but great dupes for the WAY more expensive Besame Red Velvet which is hard to come by in the UK

Noralet101 I really like the formula, it's just not my favourite. I'd say second fave. I have very sensitive lips, grew up allergic to a common product in lipstick so never wore them so have now have to be super careful. Besame is one of the few I can wear. It's kinda a comfort matte or demi - matte as isn't 100%matte but that mkes them more comfort to wear. I find it ever so slightly drying but I'm v sensitive to that which is why the Maybelline are my favourite as super moisturising. The besame lipsticks are phenomenal though, so opaque, and I LOVE the bullet shape as makes so easy to line the lips, and I highly recommend them. Red Velvet is gorgeous and I'm saving for the mini lipstick set and the new Snow white collection lipsticks. I'm in uk so couldn't try them either but they're a great Lippie and great brand overall

Usually the more matte a lipstick is, the lest likely it is to bleed. Using a concealer to line the outside of your lips will help a lot too or using a lip liner before the lipstick! Actually Milani has a transparent lip liner that can be use for both of those things :)
