Do you provide material for clients to just determine their own skin color or do you offer to do it for them too? I am interested in your color analysis system. I did a seasonal analysis before and the lady who did it for me online has the most advanced color analysis seasonal system I have come across, BUT, your system seems more precise to the individual and that is appealing. I do not have the best set of eyes…sometimes I struggled to see what you saw in some of your video’s when you gave examples and analyses people. I think I would have a hard time determining root color and best colors. Also, how does a person join the channel? There is no button for it that I could find.

I usually analyze the entire color type for clients. But if the client has a bad camera or an old phone that would not represent their coloring accurately, I recommend getting the Skin Color Chart in my store. So they can determine their Root Skin Color and I can adjust the image accordingly before analyzing. I understand that it is difficult for most people to see what I see, it took decades of extensive training for me. About a year ago i "picked" lots of colors from my skin, eyes and hair!! Absolutely fascinating to me how many different colors there are in each! A fun exercise but didn't ultimately answer any of my ?'s! This is a fantastic video and super helpful!!

Did you just release these? They are genious, I recently observed the exact changes in chroma due to lighting in people's skin (not intentionally though) and wondered why I never took that into consideration or even really realized how different one's skincolor can look due to lighting (talking about how bright or dark lighting is). I also always wondered why my cousin looked better in softer colors than I do even though she's a darker color type than I am (she for example looks very dull in black while my brother and I can wear it way better) and I just realized she's really way softer chroma than we are. Even only looking at these charts on my screen makes it more apparent how different our chroma is to hers. At least in terms of skin. Is it possible for certain color types that their skin appears brighter when they tan while for others their skin appears softer when tanned? Or does tanning have similar effects on any color type? I think these charts are incredibly helpful to understand your system way better. Very well done. I am looking forward to your hair and eye color charts too.

Why I have a hard time finding colors, especially foundation~ I'm a transition type. Many times, I have had to purchase 2 shades and mix. Lately, the thinest foundation is easier to make work. I'm red root but with some orange.

Yes, for transition types, it is challenging to find the right colors because they are in between, and they often have multiple colors in them. I am a transition type as well.

Following your previous videos my skin tone seemed to be red. Following the usual colour systems, and what friends say, my undertone is yellow. Looking at your charts my nearest match is blue. Yesterday my hairdresser coloured my hair a neutral blonde as usual, the for some reason used an Ash brown toner on it. It does not suit me, I look older with greyer patchy skin. I am medium in value and chroma. Any thoughts?

Do you have the Skin Color Chart? If not, you will live with this type of confusion because my videos don´t show all the sub-Root Skin Colors. They are available inside the Skin Color Chart and will enable you to find an exact match. I recommend using a proper image of yourself when you are using the Skin Color Chart - the exact instructions for that image will be available with the Skin Color Chart (www.ellaray.com/store). If you want 100% clarity and avoid any mistakes using the Skin Color Chart I recommend booking a custom premium Color Palette 3, 12, or 48 as I will do the analysis for you (www.ellaray.com/colorpalette). Without seeing a proper image of you it is impossible to give any recommendations or advice as to what your Root Skin Color is.

I recommend doing this with the Skin Color Chart in comparison with the other Root Skin Colors provided. There are 8 Sub Root Skin Colors.

Without an exact analysis for your color type, I can´t say from the distance. Not every Red Root Skin Color type will have the same colors they should avoid as your eyes and hair color plays a huge role in this.

@@ellaraystyle no, not really I just thought that part was useful to me since, I always thought I was bright winter, but for some reason sometimes mute colors look good on me depending on the color, and some times darker colors as well... although I do have a bright complexion those super neon colors of the palette always overpowered me... But I really do wanna ask a question, let's say my root color is blue, my depth can be light or deep, and the softness can be bright or mute (not really a neutral), so in my true root color, which I'm sure is blue, I can rock blue as long as is light or deep and not really the pure color on itself, and the color can either be mute or just with no gray added at all just the pure color on itself, bright That's with blue I have all these options: depth: Light,dark Softness: bright, mute BUT if we change the hue I can only have 1 of those two options depending on the hue For example with a cool green this is what I've seen suits me best Depth: dark Softness: bright If I wear light and soft green it'll look horrible on me unlike with the blue... So depending on the hue those aspects can change... am I understanding your color analysis method well? Or did I misunderstood something
