So on my speed test I’m getting 12-12.5 on average. I’ve tried so many different things on 1080p and no matter what I do it is extremely laggy on my stream. Anybody knows what would cause this ? Right now I’m streaming in 720p at 8k bitrate. Smooth for most of stream dropped frames every now and then

Theres never a need to use that high of a bitrate. Remember that a higher bitrate is also more taxing on your PC. Anywhere bewteen 6,000 - 8,000 provides a solid result

What's weird is I have seen multiple streams now doing 1080p 60 fps or just 1080p 30 fps while only using 3500 - 4500 bitrate, and they looked very crisp. It makes no sense, especially considering I am at 6000 bit rate and it looks less crisp.

Speed test are lame coz it shows 650Mbps upload speed and i just keep 12000kbps still drops frame rate need to choose proper server or a different speed test website.

There's a tips that twitch streamers suggest, you should stream at 936p 6000kbps on twitch, it'll look much better since twitch can't go above 6mbps bitrates.

Twitch can go up to 8k for partners. Everyone else is 6k. Affiliates can unofficially push 7K. But transcoding isn’t guaranteed and can hurt viewership. 6k isn’t enough for a fast paced fps game so people go 936 or just keep at 720 to reduce pixilation.

Considering most live streams and content in general are consumed through a mobile device, the difference is makes isn’t noticeable. Also considering .6 percent of streamers are Partners I don’t think really anyone who’d be watching this needs to worry about their bitrate pushing 8000

@@mehashonhold I’d say it’s personal preference. If you feel there is a big enough quality difference by choosing 936p then you should do that. I’ve watched many streams at both those aspect ratios and as a viewer, neither made the viewing experience better. I’ve seen more entertaining streams at 720p than 936 or 1080. Point being, I wouldn’t overthink it

Wow Bro its crazy how the Streams looks way better and Smooth on KZbin than on Twitch..I wonder if its because Twitch Bitrates are very limited I Stream on My Elgato HD60 S+ and I was doing some Live testings right?..the gameplay on YT looks way smoother than on Twitch.. I wonder if it resolves the issue once I become Partner? since idk if Transcoding plays a huge part on this..

There’s really not need for that high of a bitrate especially on a single PC. KZbin takes a higher bitrate than Twitch at around 50k where as Twitch caps people at around 6-7. You can get a pretty clean looking stream at around 8-10k on KZbin but just remember that higher the bitrate, the more stress on your PC and it’ll take away from your game performance

the twitch cap is 6000 but since obs or other broadcasting apps tend to fluctuate I find the best line at 5800, its pretty smooth however I switch from time to time with youtube because they allow a higher bitrate and support different resolutions (ultrawide 21:9)

Very good clarity, I'm just still confused by the bit rates in Nvidia GeForce, the options are all in Mbps but it starts at 10 already, and you can go all the way to 150, and for broadcasting only 18, which should be 18.000 kbps right? I don't get it. And if I record with 10 Mbps my recording looks like crap anyway!

are you using a 2 pc setup?, if your computer is running both your game and your broadcasting output then your computer is going to struggle

@@killedirl I'm using 1 gaming laptop xD but I figured out that recording and streaming bitrates are different, and I started just recording my game at 60mbps and making videos out of that, which actually suits my hobby way better anyway, and it looks fine too, as far as Hunt: Showdown goes, which just looks kinda crappy after YT processing it anyway

@@AskCory Bitrate, Resolution, Encoder settings. Just curious, your stream looks really good. Ive played with NVENC and X264 at 6k all the way to 20k bitrate and sometimes still get a slightly pixelated stream. Ive narrowed it down to YT as the issue with transcoding and processing the live stream. Looks good on a phone, but on PC screen at 1440+ resolution its not as ideal. Im running a 3900x 32gb ram and a 2060super on Gigabit fiber....so its not my system. So many variables, i always tell everyone to record locally with the settings you intend to stream with first to test the quality, settings and audio, because once it leaves your pc, its out of your hands for quality when it his that injest point (FB, YT, Twitch, etc)

Merry late Christmas haha, 1GB internet is currently one of the best in the market so yes I’m theory you should be fun internet wise. However if you’re on a single PC setup that you also game from, it might be too stressful of a workload for it. Also most top streamer typically do around 15-25k tops for their bitrate
