Wait, that house with no chimney breast on the ground floor but one above... doesn't that mean that the upper chimney is just resting on the floorboards on the first floor? I've seen it before in some UK home shows that people demolish the bottom level of a chimney leaving the rest of the chimney above just basically hanging in mid-air with no support below. Scary!
