The Deus II seemed to work alright again after another charge - even though it only took a few minutes to be charged back to full again, so I'm not really sure what the issue was. The watch is an absolute delight and something I never thought I'd find for myself. Thanks so much and have an awesome week mate!

Great video and even greater finds! The thing that you called a grandfather clock key may not be that. It looks more like a music/jewelry box key/winder. It could also be a pocket watch winding key from the early 20th century. Hope that you learn more about your finds.

Not a clue! Some have said a starter for a camp stove or similar, and I have found a piece like that recently on the beach but I’m really not sure. 😁

It was made in London in 1860 according to the hallmarks, no idea re: manufacturer though. I’m so happy with it. 😁

No tutorials from me on the cleaning side of things, there are other folks who do far better than I in this space. The silver components in this video were treated to some baking soda and hot water, left to soak for a little bit and then a baking soda 'paste' was used as a microabrasive to polish it up. The coin was also soaked for a little while in some lemon juice between baking soda treatments. Thanks for watching :)

PS. Spendable coins go in a cheap tumbler with some stainless steel media and burnishing compound - tumbled enough to be spendable. :)

I suggested to Andrew that perhaps the Manticore has some sort of electromagnetic pulse that disables Deus II's in close proximity. It didn't seem to work on the Legend, though. 😂 Things worked out well indeed! Cheers mate.
