I (also am sure others agree) am so glad you got Percy and can travel "elsewhere". I've been watching other videos of travels by vans going to Wales and it is absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing with all of us. Travel safe.

Gosh that scenery and time lapse was stunning! I'm so excited to follow you with Percy. I've binged watched all your narrowboat episodes and was so inspired by them, I would like to move back to the UK and get a narrowboat but in reality a van would probably be more doable. You have really given me something to think about. Can't wait to see more of your adventures, keep on inspiring please! Have a great week, you really do put a smile on my face. Cheers.

Beautiful! The views after the hike was just amazing! Amazon has gauge that will stick to side of tank or one you use that is like you would use to lift a suitcase and weigh it. The latter one is super accurate; but I also used the others before and they worked.

Hi Fran & Rich! We've enjoyed your Narrow Boat vlogs for a few years, and now we get to follow along on your van journeys. We had the good fortune to live in the UK, for a few years and enjoy seeing places we've been and places we missed. Keep it up! We do have a Sprocker spaniel from Suffolk, where we lived. Some of the roads are so narrow. We are lucky we haven’t got stuck yet.
@joerg-michajahn49633 күн бұрын
Ahhh, single track roads. I remember driving on them a lot in the Highlands when my now wife was working in Scotland for a year and I visited a couple of times. We were young .... Years later I did a day trip into Wales almost all the way to Aberystwyth, coming over the hills from Oxford, so to speak. And I was so chuffed when I could drive on miles of single track again. It's just so different, making the surroundings more important than the road. A bit less fun with a motorhome, I grant you, but still, it's just nice. Good journey's with Percy to all four of you! Mind you, never lived in the UK myself :-(. And thank you for showing us the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. I did some research to read more about it :-)

These narrow roads are great for me as a passenger, but a bit more stressful for Rich. The Mon and Brecon canal was a surprise find for us but so pretty

Ok guys here in Australia you can get a connection that goes on your gas tank & it tells you how much gas you have left. I haven't got one as I've always had a spare bottle.
@FloatingOurBoat6 күн бұрын
That sounds good, we will look out for one
@lesmumford84264 күн бұрын
You should be able to guesstimate how much gas there is just by weight. Or, shake it a bit, then use your hands on the sides of the tank. Where the gas is will be colder than the area that is empty. Those views are stunning. love it!

I always carry a spare gas bottle. The 10 kilos does not seem to add much to diesel usage. But you could always carry a little 3 kilo back up bottle if you are so paranoid about the weight.
