Many thanks for all helpful ideas, questions to ask myself and a new stylist. Sadly, I have to break up with my current stylist because he is pushing me to do a Brazilian Blowout to relax my curl pattern. I'm soo not interested! I viewed your video last night and used your suggestions in a consultation with a stylist today! I'm pretty sure I found the right person. Next step...the curly cut. Janira Quinones any stylist who has had training should be proud of their continuing education. It’s their bragging rights.

I've looked for a curly hair specialist. In my area their are stylists claiming that they have had DevaCurl training but they don't appear on the DevaCurl site. I contacted DevaCurl and was told that they don't keep track of who takes the training classes. So how do you know if the stylist is legitimate?

Polly I did not know DC doesn’t track their students. A stylist will have a certificate to show proof for their class completion. It will show the date. I hope these links are useful for you to find stylists on other platforms.
