I’ve never understood why society looks down on ex felons! A lot of times all of us has made bad decisions,the only difference between civilians and a felon,is a felon got caught.

Bill alot of people use that as a crutch that doesn't want to work. I did 10 yrs in the Feds and 4 years in Va state pen. Came home in 2007 and never looked back. While I was in the halfway house I went through a temp service and landed a construction job paying 15/hr within a month of training and the supervisor saw my work ethic I went to 17/hr and was told when/if I got my license he will bump me up to 20/hr. and within 3 months became a subcontractor making 2-3 grand a week reglazing tubs. After 2 yrs. I had my own company reglazing tubs which helped me to start another business (car dealership/body repair shop). Fast forward til now I drive trucks ($85-90k a yr) and run my businesses on the side. (Easy $100k a year) You can't tell me God isn't good! So grateful!! Many people that have committed a crime and become a felon they are some of the best employees. They have great working skills and great discipline. Everyone needs a chance to include Veterans that has s bad discharges. Many temporary workers can be come fulltime employees. Either work out here or work in prison for free. Some prefer working in prisons for free. Great Post Bill!

I’ve been out since December 2016. I have been turned down many times. I’ve tried Walmart, convenience stores, & not pans out. I had a interview at captain ds the other day. I was honest about everything & the general manager said hey ima be honest, I would prefer the other person because they don’t have a record. I’m 30 & I have a 4 year old & it’s hard not being able to provide. Even doordash has turned me down.

We made mistakes and we have consequences. I know from experience how difficult it is to find a job with felonies or misdemeanors. My resume and experience is amazing and i was just recently denied a job that basically hired me until they saw my record then they change they mind. I dont have no violent ish or freak ish. A lot of companies in Atlanta/Metro area outsourced their HR... that's why they use the Temp service to gatekeep almost all their industries... I know this first hand --- you don't even have to have a record fr... it's how the culture is now

I have no idea why i chose to go through so much in my young life but thank god for aging young bc I just turned 30 in July and still look like a teen but from age 19 to 25 I went to multiple expansive rehabs and many different states tryna kick my little opioid addiction and let me tell u I hated them mfs no matter if u had loved ones to pay your program fees you still had to work lol of course responsibilities something ain want to do BUT they would take us to good temp agencies and they knew our history and we were in rehab and could relapse any sec at there jobs and leave to never come back and still have us chances and the ones who loved it they stayed there was hired permanent and decided to get their own place and life there clean. But not only is it a good stepping stone, nowadays temp services actually hire temp to permanent or even direct hire to the actual company. Temp services also help companies find candidates in high paying jobs too cuz they don’t have the time to do it themselves. Temp service is a good resource for ANYBODY.
