For anyone wondering, there's a much easier way to do this. Simply integrate each component of the vector field F by dx, dy, dz respectively, and the potential function is a combination of each unique term (i.e. if there are two terms that are the same, don't add them, just use one of them in the potential function). But this way works too, just more work!

Excellent. If it weren't for you I would be screwed. College instructors do not know how to break it down to us here at Virginia State University. They move too fast and expect you to grasp it on your own time. Well they are right, I spend my personal time trying to figure these things out. Watching you on youtube has allowed me to keep up.
@sgt.sargent3242
@sgt.sargent3242 Жыл бұрын
IMO: Professors take doctorate level courses in which they learn to prove mathematics and explain the theoretical side. When they teach college classes they tend to get caught up and focus too much on theory which is almost never applicable to us students (at least at the undegrad level) (unless of course the professors have theory questions on tests then yes) But for the most part this is why I preferred my high school teachers and youtube lectures, because they taught me calculus and physics without all the crazy theory that takes up too much class time. It's great to know for trivia but theory should only take a small fraction of the total class time to be able to go over questions.
