I go birding at the Swaner Nature Preserve in Park City, UT and find some incredible birds including a NEW bird! On the way home I stop at Little Dell Reservoir and find a few more amazing bird species!

My favourite bird along a river is definitely the Kingfishers here in South Africa.I especially love Malachite and Giant Kingfisher

Speaking of swallows, I think I had told you once that in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 near and around where I live, we have Pacific Swifts flying around this time of the season.

Favorite river birds? I guess the barn swallow - reminds me of canoeing when I was a kid, and they were nesting in a bridge we went under, flying all around. The belted kingfisher and yellow warbler are great river birds, too. Congrats on your Willow Flycatcher. I'm glad it sang for you, that helped!!

Good morning to you. Two days ago, what I consider a Lifer for me was spotting a WHITE-RUMPED MUNIA for the first time in my area here in the New Territories of Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. There were two of them silently but very busy in the thickets during my morning walk.

Not necessarily a river bird but I got a few favorite shorebirds. I think ruddy turnstones, plovers, and sanderlings are the cutest. And baby killdeers!!!
