Awesome story my friend! I especially enjoyed seeing the convertible comp orange cobras, awesome looking cars! Just as much as the coupe…💯

The intro talking about how the terminator is, was sick. You should get some of our newer owners to submit vids and make a new cobra compilation.

Hello Justin, my name is Will and I've wrote comments before and always listen to your videis. I have the 2003 dark shadow gray Cobra, I love your Cobra and so very happy you gotten this one and to keep it with pride, I actually have 12 mustangs, my Cobra is pretty much original, it has a off road X-pipe, Borla stinger cat back, JLT cold air, short throw shifter, 26,000 miles, never even been drive in the rain, panit is 8 to 8 out of 10, interior 10 out of 10, non chrome Cobra R rims, windows tinted 29 percent, truly love this car and giving it to my son n law and youngest daughter as I know how he loves it and will take care of it, what in your opinion is it really worth market value as been told many prices, and a quick piece of humor, what's better than having a 10 out of a 10 GT 500 Shelby in your driveway, 2 of them lol
@justin.c_svtАй бұрын
That sounds like a very nice car. I’d say it should be somewhere in the high 30’s to mid 40’s range. It really depends on the buyer. I know someone who sold a DSG that was modded and got around 50 for it. The buyer ended up being a little upset with a few things it had that were messed up or broken on it and they contacted me with their complaints and felt they overpaid.
@williamjesse8357Ай бұрын
@justin.c_svt thank you Justin for your reply and input i so appreciate it and is a very special car to me as all 12 mustangs are to me, am surr you know how I feel and all era of mustangs hold the heritage of what we have so we need to appreciate them all as I do, I am a real car guy not just a car guy there is a difference..

Very hard to find especially since I want a vert. Great video. I just subscribed and have never seen your videos before. I am looking forward to hearing more of the story.

Yeah Justin, when I went looking for my first Cobra, which ended up being a Sonic Blue in 2011 out of Dallas with 26,000 miles, I realized that trying to look for a specific color car that was untouched right down to the air filter.. is unrealistic & dare I say foolish. All Cobra were very limited production as you know, I'd guesstimate 30% of them got wrapped around a pole/tree by now. It amazes me how expensive the Terminator has become.. I paid a whole lot less back then despite mileages being higher now. Graduated highschool around the time you did & *you brought back many memories* ..car culture was truly special before the internet enticed people to destroy their vehicles for attention/fame. I'll never forget the first time I saw a Terminator, it was across from me in an intersection and the guy proceeded to drift through the turn, all I could hear was the blower screaming. I went home that night to find out what that NewEdge was.. there I found the "Snake Bite" video uploaded to "Streetfire".

@@justin.c_svt Thanks for sharing your detailed story! Such a long video you must have spent a lot of time on. Excited to watch part 2 tomorrow. God gave men the ability to create things, to present each other with opportunities in a society so long as you're willing to help yourself and work hard. Years from now a highschool kid is going to see this video & be inspired to go out and work toward a Cobra of his own.

It’s awesome when others see these videos and get inspired. Several people have already told me they have so that’s cool. I’ve been diligently working on this series and there are 13 parts so far that are uploaded and scheduled to come out each Friday. I have a series of each of my cars. This is a good way to document them and I enjoy going back and watching them.

Very interesting video thus far , am looking forward to the next one . I agree with you 100 percent on the wheels, and I still think in relation to the Mach 1. Nothing beats the Factory wheels, Ford has always had some of the best looking Factory Mustang wheels since 1964!

Love the Orange.Hey Justin,is the side mirror glass available in the aftermarket?I need to try to remove my driver side to repair it,It somehow is loose and if break it trying to remove it I want to make sure I can get another.I was also going to wait until next summer on a warm day (my garage gets really hot) to do it,thinking the plastic tabs holding the glass wouldn’t be as likely to break.I value your opinion,Thanks.
@justin.c_svtАй бұрын
I remember seeing the glass for the cobra mirrors available on eBay years ago and it wasn’t OEM so there may be someone out there selling it. You’d probably want to buy it and look it over before you go through with it.

You can still buy the oem glass mirror on ford website

I can’t wait to get one but sometimes think I’ll never find one with prices ridiculous high and not being able to find a good Cobra all the cobras I’ve seen are like riced out and ugly the engine bays have tasteless mods and random crap thrown onto to them plus being picky about color I’ve only seen 2 good examples of cars I would buy in the past year or so and turns out one of them had frame damage and the buyer wasn’t told that by the dealer and he was pissed off everything was perfect besides the frame damage it’s just really hard to find a good example to spend your hard earned money on and they always have so many damn mods

Anybody know if McLeod clutches are known to be bad out the box. I got a 02 gt just put new clutch, pilot bearing, throughout bearing, pivot stud, flywheel all new and the car will not go into gear no matter how I've adjusted the clutch. I'm at a loss because now i have to tear this thing back apart
@justin.c_svtАй бұрын
Did you use the clutch alignment tool for the input shaft?
@alternatephysique9940Ай бұрын
@justin.c_svt yes
@justin.c_svtАй бұрын
Can you pump the clutch easily or is it bound up?
@alternatephysique9940Ай бұрын
@@justin.c_svt it feels like it should. Goes through all the gears when shut off but won't engage while running no matter how far out I've adjusted it. I had it so far adjusted out that the peddle wouldn't even go to the floor so I'm confused after all the different adjustments I've tried and this thing still won't go in. Transmission was a lil notchy before hand but never grinded or anything like that. The McLeod Street level clutch is what I have installed but now I've went to the local parts store and got a Napa clutch kit to install. I'm wondering how possible is it that the McLeod clutch pressure plate is bad out the box.

As much as I love the cobras and respect those cars we know the truth it took ford to put a super charger on there mustang to compete against GM any car with a blower will beat most N/A cars so I wouldn’t call something like that special but I love all brands N/A or boosted
@justin.c_svtАй бұрын
The 2000 cobra R had a N/A 5.4L that was still smaller than the Chevy 5.7L LS1. It had the same performance as the supercharged 4.6L mustang. 385 HP from a 5.4 vs chevys 335 HP from the 5.7L is a whooping.
