Love that rug you like too. How beautiful. The lantern for hall gorgeous!!! Some great finds. I'm sure it will get easier once you know France. Apparently you put the chandelier crystals in the Dishwasher and it cleans them perfectly. A commenter suggested this for Terry and Ash from Chateau De La Lacelle. It really worked. (Recent video if you choose to know any more. One with Terry looking at chandelier)

Remember the bed sizes are different,so bedding doesn’t fit…as we found out…and pillows are square

I did not bring any mattresses from the US or fitted sheets. I did bring a couple of flat sheets because I know they are not common and honestly they're just useful for other purposes. And we also brought several pillows 🙂. I'm sure we'll get used to the square ones eventually, but especially to keep my kids comfortable the rectangular ones it is ! 🙂

According to the rules, you can't apply for one until 90 days before your permanent arrival. It does feel wonky... But that's why we're taking our time to get everything in place now so that it's much smoother when the move does happen! Saving up, making plans, and identifying resources... Essentially being as prepared as possible 😁

These are photos sent to me by my furniture source in France. A couple of them are a little goofy because the sizes didn't translate in my computer very well. When I actually get the furniture and it's in the house, then you'll really see it! 🙂 Just a few more weeks until it's all delivered!

The lighting would have to be rewired to start with…🤷🏻‍♀️ That said, most of those pieces look like something you can find in France. Hopefully that’s where you bought them…

Please don’t take this the wrong way but I would like to advise you not to purchase too much furniture unseen. I know you don’thave a lot of money to spend but most of the furniture you show is hardly an antique and a few are not in the greatist condition. I know you need furniture but because they know you are foreigners they will try to pump up the age and price of these pieces. A lot of what you have shown you can get dirt cheap at Emmaeus. Just try to buy mindful and only what you truly need and love. This kind of house you can not fill in a few months. This needs to evolve and you need to find your style. I only give you this advice out of the kindness of my hearth and not to hurt you.

Oh I completely understand! I'm not furnishing the entire house by buying over the Internet. Certain pieces, but I liked I've snatched up. I haven't said yes to everything. There's also a matter of it being convenient for me. If it's convenient for this woman to find things and for a guy to deliver it for me! Which of course I didn't explain in the video and now I feel kind of dumb about that... I just forgot to include you guys in on that key piece of information 🙂

@ I did understand that you need it to be delivered but you can hire little vans in a lot of stores like Brico marche and then do a tour of picking up multiple items from multiple stores. But of course you need the correct drivers licence for that. So I certainly see your point of view too.
