Did a search on Diamondback Terrapins, got no results - - hope you can search some out someday. Robert Ruark in his coming-of-age book *The Old Man and the Boy* noted that African-American boys used to hunt terrapins for sale to restaurants with the aid of dogs that could find the terrapins by their smell in the mud. This was back in the 1920's when they had been hunted almost to extinction.

True Story: Me and my grandpa were out in his woods flipping logs to find worms to feed my salamander and we found an eastern garter snake and it was very white colored and the meanest little guy ever who surprisingly ate a nightcrawler I found, I used 2 sticks as tongs.

They say the rattlers are wising up and not rattling unless nessary. I didn't bielive until I see a 3ft coiled up 8ft away from were I fished for 40mins until I seen it just setting there looking at me. Idk if it wouldv rattled or not. I left alone cause ik that's how 99% people get tagged is after they seen snake. I shouldv seen if it wouldv started if I harrased with a pole or something. That big 1 could be old enough to know most things won't even see it
