I'd love to see a collab with Zoids. Zoids lore is so interesting, they are literally animal shaped living mecha that you pilot. And a vpet wouldn't even break the lore you could start with a Zoid Core for the egg, the Zoid core would born into a small metal life form that would go through the various stages of a wild Zoids evolution, wild Zoids can be carnivores or herbivores so you can feed them. And their last forms could be their respective mecha Zoid forms. Imagine like a dino type evolving into the t-rex types that give you Geno Saurers or Berserk Fuhrers and the ultimate forms would be Geno Breaker for the Geno and the Storm fury for the Berserk.

As far as the collabs go, I’m not too concerned yet about the franchise becoming oversaturated. While that definitely did happen with the Tamagotchi Nanos, Bandai still kept the mainline devices going with arguably the best device they’ve released in recent years, the Uni. If they do begin pumping out collab after collab, I still think Bandai will keep something waiting in the wings for the core device fans. As for the Monster Hunter collab, I’m sorry, but I’m super pumped for it lol. Monster Hunter is awesome, Digimon is awesome, the shells look awesome…. My only slight issue is, as you said, the sprites don’t really match the style of brick pet sprites, but I figure I’ll get over that quickly. Still, it would’ve been cool to see the Monster Hunter characters in the traditional vpet style. Either way, great vid! Collabs aren’t all bad; Uchu is great! lol

I'm with you all! I think the collabs are cool, but I really don't want Digimon to fall by the way side. I hope these collabs encourage others to try v-pets, which then in turn will fuel new Digimon stuff. But we'll see! @8:53 I totally agree about VB sprites on a brick. I modded mine to have all VB Sprites and didn't even finish a full line. It just didn't feel right. Great vid! Love the chin waggin vids. Hope to see more of you two just having a chat about digimon!

It’s so funny you mentioned HMV! That’s where I got my Vital Bracelet BE yesterday for half the price on line!! The device is amazing, I love it already! The scope of possibility for it are massive!!! I cant believe they are just ending the run on it. The NFC battle mode it’s pure genius! Imagine Pokemon Go where you get items from tapping NFC devices! That would be so good. This is not just a missed opportunity but also a massive blunder for adventure gaming in general. No other virtual pet gets you out of the house. Gutted.

I've had my Zubamon DM20 for ages, and I only filled out the library sometime earlier this year xD About the Vital Bracelet, I always felt the BE wasn't so much a digimon device as it was something with a digimon sticker on some of the memories. I definitely prefer some parts of the original vital / Digivice-V, but both are still fun in their own ways

Some great chinwaggin' and discussion, gents. It's definitely a massive shame regarding the Vital Bracelet. I agree we knew it was coming, but I did not expect it so soon after the BE. It would be great if Bandai tried again with a more focused device, but I'm certainly not holding my breath. 😅

its a lot of them, i used to just let my digimon sit there doing the battles on it own no input and no shakes unless a big fight happens (every 5 and the last battle?)

I think the VB sprites work well on the Brick. Plus, with the Close-Ups on the new Digivice, we could be that much closer to a color DigimonX. Hopefully, they will fix the "preorder" nonsense before then..

The vital bracelet BE was a great device but without the app it is truly dead, until fans come up with a way to revive battles. The vital bracelet/vital hero are the superior ones for me now...again. Because the VS DIM keeps the device relevant, you may have to do in person battles but at least it is better then nothing.

Godzilla would be cool, but I have the same fears of Digimon becoming second fiddle on its own device in the future due to the huge success of this. On the positive side, someone commenting on another video made me realize that aside from being a cross-over device, this is also the first device in the "COLOR" series (not counting the VB as it doesn't have COLOR in the name) to be something completely new rather then a remake. This shows Bandai is willing to do completely new releases inside these "remake series" and opens up the potential of something like a completely new DMC with Digimon, or a 7th PenC with one of the other fields.

Uk releases have been screwed over since Crunchyroll acquired manga entertainment. Fingers crossed Alltheanime can get the license because their releases have been top notch and they have picked up a lot of the slack.

For the Nano's I hate the small design. My fat fingers can't hit the buttons. I have a few, KH, Pacman and toy story. the last two were on sale and I decided to jump into tamagotchi. Now for the color I didn't want to get one just because it wasn't backwards compatable with my other digivices from my old bricks, d20's to my X's didn't make much sense while I still run those. THe Monster Hunter one Makes me excited to have Turf wars and digimon fights I am thinking of picking up a color before the release.

I really didn't care much for the Nanos; just really not my cup of tea. The collab shells kinda remind me of the street art my state has been going bonkers for lately, so I might be tempted to add them to my collection. I honestly wouldn't mind seeing more collab v-pets with Digimon if they do it right and not botch everything like they've been doing for years now.

it really is too bad they killed the vital bracelet with that crappy new app. i was really enjoying it but they made it WAY harder to train the digimon with the BE version and the app they switched to was unnecessary. they should a just kept the old app and added the user-friendly features and that's it. the arena app isn't even online anymore. they did an update to make it offline cause no one was using it. So its basically just a storage app now.
