I found the foot print impression out exploring where a colonial era cabin once stood. There was a small structure back here in the 1700s 1800s and it left a small flat spot in the ground. There is no cellar hole ( rock foundation ) like the more established sites. This is how you read the land and figure out what happened way back when. These sites have been lost t history but they can still be found out in the woods if you pay attention. I brought my metal detector along to see what I could find. There was some iron nails left over but the great stuff was the old button I found. Tombac and copper made and hundreds of years old. these relics are from the past and the people who once loved on these old deserted farms.
