She is best known for writing worship songs such as “You Make Me Brave” and “Extravagant.” Her recent solo albums, House on a Hill and State of Union, explore themes of grief, doubt and faith, while her 2023 EP, Survey: Part 1, delves into her journey of discovering what remains when everything is stripped away.

It’s a year to the day since I led the funeral of my best friend, who died at 39 years old. I miss him so much. I wonder if there’s a sofa in heaven where he and I can watch tv together and drink tea again. The idea of him being in Hell is unthinkable to me. I run into hope when I realise God loves him even more than I do.
