for those confused... This video is about helpers who ride with me to jobs. Not actual employees whom I would send out on their own to do jobs for me. $25 bucks an hour for someone to literally just help out, no experience, no tools, not even a vehicle is great money. For those of you complaining 25 bucks an hr is sht money LOL. What world do you live in when they start you out higher?. Local construction companies in my area will start you out at $18 and expect you to get your behind from your house to the job site and bring your own water/food.

I worked for a guy as a 1099 but it was easy going and I was gaining experience, coolest guy I ever worked for and still keep in touch. Everything was still legal as far as I know. And literally everyrthing in law is based on contract (and other words that mean the same thing: covenant, constitution, agreement, pact, treaty, ect.) so I knew what I was getting into. The law is no one can force someone into a contract because by definition a contract is an agreement. Anything else is slavery/coercion. If a contractor can just declare everyone of his employees as independent contractors and give them a 1099 they don't have to pay the employers portion of FICA and doesn't have to pay workers compensation or higher premiums on his liability insurance if one of the contractors "independent contractors" gets injured on a customers property the who becomes liable?

Shit I'd do it for $25 an hour, that is what I'm trying to start at in the state I'm in, Missouri. I'm currently a building maintenance man and have been for three years now. Got my start in commercial and now doing residential. The thing is companies don't care to work with people who are disabled and fire instead. Its a "right to work" state after all, well, that leave me out of a job every couple of years and having to find something stable. Employers here want to pay $20 an hour and have you doing the work of 2 or 3 people. If you ever call them out on it or rock the boat too much you're gone, because ya' know, "right to work" and all that. All in all I'd prefer to do commercial maintenance or just be an all purpose freelance handyman. I want to find someone to work with as a handyman though, but can't find anyone here and I've reached out to a couple of people which led to nothing. All of them were older men looking like they were working alone too, so I don't know if people even want to work together anymore. Companies are too big for me but working alone is too taxing, guess I'm between that rock and the hard place.
