Really enjoyed the waterlillies. The plastic lid palettes are such a great idea for mixing colours. I’m going start collectting those lids. Thanks for sharing your videos.

Thank you for your kind words, Cathy! Those plastic lids are awesome and they travel well, too - just clap another lid over the top and use a little painters’ tape, voila! The cheapest art supply you’ll ever find. :-)

Went on vacation - somewhere I have gone for over 60 years and found that the trees told me to do a series. There was a troll in the bark and growths on one and a bear on another and one that was actually called a "shaggy" tree. Can't wait to paint them. Beautiful video. Thank you.

Qor is pronounced like core. If you haven’t played much with it, the joy of qor colors is that they are real movers. It’s fun to charge one color into another and watch them push each other around.

Ahhh, thank you! I felt like I had heard it pronounced before, but of course I was unsure. I want to play with my 6 or so QOR colors some more and see what they can do… there are times when I see someone else using a certain material, then I pick it up (often at Blick) and then I neglect to play with it very much. I’m so glad watercolors don’t “expire!”

Like the question, where does inspiration come from, does it find you, or do you find it! The lily pads you found were almost out of an impressionist painting, Monet maybe, quite an incentive to paint them. It’s the end of Watercolor Month. Have followed Angela Fehr for some time. She started out like you. She engages her viewers personally, like you. She did a watercolor video for every day of July. Her last one is tonight in just a few minutes, participatory. Always good to come across your videos, a pleasant surprise. I’m looking for inspiration. Don’t know if it is looking for me. You really had to journey to find those lily pads, didn’t you!
