As a self taught, I learn software by looking around and finally do something with it. No matter what you do cos you only use 10% of all the possibilities. That's why you have so many software cos sometimes with one you can do everything but because people will never know a full software cos you can't learn a document completely . then by using it and metting people or seeing utube videos (there was no internet back then) you learn small things that help you and then you get more confident and just keep using it. So don't give up, do it at your pace and if it can be frustrating at first you still start somewhere! You are young so go on create!

I’m an artist too Keira. I’m a home concept DJ. My art is all about the vibes and how I feel that day. Once I start that mix who knows where the journey takes me. From sunny dreams with an exclusive SCI-FI symphony to where space shuttle radio messages crackle across throbbing rhythmic landscapes. It’s magical. The sound could be my joy or it could be my agitation.

I worked as a touring guitarist, singer, artist for decades (in 4 Nordic countries.) Only managed to get about 400 subscribers because posting famous band so not my skills bring in subscribers. I put a little fortune in making a record and music video. (Video taken down.) And you got tens of thousands followers not even knowing what you want to do in the spotlight. Tell me society isn’t broken.

@ to me all social media have become an asset for controlling who’s get a saying in this world. I think some few got under the radar in the beginning, but soon enough is ringed in, targeted and manipulated. (Maybe even brainwashed/pressured.) I relative recently experienced a YT (that actually was a friend for years) became “zombie-sized.” Turned into an cold, evil cancelling & bullying person after being ringed in (targeted) by very radical Christians Silencing herself, cancelling those who stood behind her. This only a couple of months after she started another serious YT channel (beside her successful entertainments channels) …the new one was about social issues. But all silenced a few months later. And all her old friends thrown out of her network and interactions. Now she only communicates with radical Christians. No grounded people. It’s only “high in the air talk” kneeling for Jesus and some preachers. Maybe even take instructions, idk. She got about a million followers, so I guess she was priority. She lies, manipulates and get angry at critical thinking, plus those who stood by her in thick and thin.

@@dennisherman1920 you’re probably right. …it was while working in a duo/band with a young woman (under 25) the doors was open for me as guitarist & composer a tiny bit. Have even got a controversial musicvideo on my channel with over 200K views. Didn’t bring in subscribers though. (Maybe 20. But I think even less, like 12-15.) It was a song about human rights, asking questions under the lockdowns, so it ruined most of my relations, connections and network. Even my family cancelled me because of fear.

Even at 24, I still didn't know my creative capabilities. I wouldn't believe if someone told me all the amazing things I will have created, from woodwork (especially those amazing "cat shelves", which have been torn down by the man who ousted me from my wonderful house) to musical composition, drawing, writing (especially comedy), and the most incredible thing I ever did was a pumpkin I carved designed with the heads and tails of a penny, only to slowly watch it rot, but I have pictures, although they pale in comparison to seeing it in person. But I certainly don't get up every day with a need to create. In fact, necessity is the mother of invention, so that's usually when the need to create comes along. About the only thing I try to commit to doing is writing down my funny thoughts, which are numerous because I'm a non-stop, madcap, professional goofball. If you want to remember something, write it down, or it shall forever be lost in the whispering winds of new thoughts.

How can you communicate your knowledge, or learn from others without learning the terminology? What is the difference between a kit with brushes, pencils, paints, and markers versus computer software? Do you not need to practice with both? You do need to learn the basics, otherwise your art will come chaotically and rarely and take longer than you would like and you will rarely finish anything. You will learn that way, but why try to do a backflip before you can sommersault? Please practice and learn from those who know and be familiar with whatever your craft is and I promise you will find your niche AND your vibe. You probably did suck with software for no other reason than you were new and you needed immediate gratification you have only found with a pencil. There is a tactile gratification to the physical as well, but know that before you give up because you cannot gratify yourself fast enough. Art is nothing but individual perspective.
@primaryslauson20 күн бұрын
There is very little similarity to the brush and the mouse. You associate them because it's "painting" or "drawing" but it's not the same. Playing a piano and producing music are not the same, though they are both making music. Further, don't mistake your interest with your ability. It should haunt you that your interest and ability do not match, and they never will, and that's the fun part! You should be learning, not just practicing.

For those who wish to do something creative, I would recommend waiting until you gain a great deal of life experience. For unless and until you become an interesting person, you will never have anything interesting to say. Interesting people create great art. Uninteresting people create bad art. And I would argue that most of the people in the entertainment industry are not interesting people. This is why so many movies and books are terrible.
You should stop teasing your audience with so much bare skin.
