Welcome back to puzzling 🙂...as an illustrator of puzzles I am not anti-speed puzzling, but what motivates me is the idea of someone spending a lot of time with an image, so keep it slow and ENJOY!

Thank you. Over the last several months I haven't had the opportunity to truly appreciate an image and I am now looking foward to doing that.

I'm glad you are recovering well and that puzzles can beback in the mix. Another exhibit for the argument that speed puzzling is a sport!

Thank you. I ended up being referred to a Sports Medicine Speciaist, so I would say your right, it is a good argument that speed puzzling is a sport.

It's great to see you back! This is such an important reminder to listen to our bodies and take the time to heal and take care of ourselves. I just finished Nobody Wants This last night!! Need a Season 2! Looking forward to the advent calendar exchange too!

Thank you. It's good to be back. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long before we see Season 2. Sometimes these streaming services take so long for the next season to come out and I forget what happened in the previous season.

@ so true with Netflix! I usually have to either do a rewatch or look for a KZbin recap because it’s always so long between seasons LOL

I hope you feel better soon Sandra. Take care of yourself and enjoy your casual puzzling. I would love to see more of the puzzling challenges you do on Instagram. I think you can do a Bingo style of challenge every month depending on what season we are on. Those are so much fun.

Happy that you're doing better ! I'm going through a similar injury, but it's more my back and shoulder radiating to my arm. Going though active recovery and the pain is going up and down with no obvious progression, but yes I know what you're going through as almost everything we do in daily life is with our dominant arm. We only realize this once we experience pain and discomfort, all I want from Christmas is a painless shoulder 😊I hope your recovery will continue as well as it is going for you now !
@thepuzzlingcanadian2 ай бұрын
So sorry that you are going through something similar. I agree with you. We don't really realize how good we had it until pain slows you down and changes your daily life. I hope you get your Christmas wish and start the new year pain free. Thanks for sharing.

Due to professional strains, ive developed carpal tunnel and tendonitis right arm/shoulder and now because of my left trying to comoensate, its becoming quite bad as well. All that to say, listen to yourself and take your time. As for puzzling, again, nothing wrong in a casual puzz. I do a solo 1000pcs over a week or two and enjoy it immensely! I still get a weekly speed comp in with friends , but tbh, some of the other regular teams and their attitudes are beginning to take a toll. So yeah, slow and enjoyable, is quite a nice change. Feel better!

Thank you. Sorry to hear you are going through a similar scenario. It is not fun especially when it interferes with puzzling. I look foward to the change of pace and taking my time with puzzling. Thanks for sharing.

I'm so happy to hear your hand/wrist is on the mend. It was so nice to see your face again on KZbin, you always have great content but I'd rather know you are taking care of yourself and giving yourself the time to heal completely. I'll keep an eye out for Thursday videos and enjoy some of your previous videos in the meantime. Take care and happy slow casual occasional puzzling!

I'm glad you're taking care of yourself, Sandra! It's nice that you felt well enough that you were able to do the Advent Calendar Exchange puzzle. I'll soon find out if it was my puzzle you were doing! 😂 I love to speed puzzle, but I do like to have a balance of speed practice and casual puzzling. That makes all parts of my puzzling soul happy. 🥰 Keep resting up!

Glad that you are back to puzzling…you were missed. I have learned that it is important to include your nondominant hand consistently while puzzling to prevent strain. Our bodies work best in tandem!
@thepuzzlingcanadian2 ай бұрын
Yes, you are correct. I tried practicing with my left hand several months ago but my right hand always jumped in to finish the puzzle. Now that the right is injured I have no choice but to use the left predominantly. It has been a work in progress.

Glad you letting your body heal. As for video ideas, I would love to hear your thoughts on how the last year or so has changed you as a puzzler. I know there are bits of comments on this in all the videos during this time - but - a video where you give an overall picture of how you have changed - for example - your taste in puzzles ( even casual ones ) - your puzzling skills - how you approach working a casual puzzle, now versus before - other changes in your puzzling skills and how this affects casual puzzling - basically - how your puzzling brain has changed !! But stay casual as long as you need !!!!!!!!

Thank you for this idea. It is a great suggestion and I will incorporate it into a year end review video.

@thepuzzlingcanadian2 ай бұрын
Thanks! I really enjoyed Nobody Wants This. Can't wait for season 2. For this round I am not part of the volunteer team. I will most likely register for the Winter Olympics and might do a few puzzles if I'm feeling up to it. Just taking it at a slow pace.

I was wondering what happened cause you were quite regular with video posting before. I'm so sorry you were in pain! I'm glad to hear you are recovering well and continue to strengthen and take good care. As to ideas for future videos, I'd like to see you compare the different piece counts of a specific brand to see what differences there are between the piece counts. For example, a Galison 300, 500, 1000 are all very different in piece size, thickness, surface, feel, sturdiness, fit etc. But, pick any brand you want to do. Different brand review, but not small companies not accessible to most of us. I have never seen puzzle channel reviews of significant brands such as Dowdle, Aquarius, Educa, or Belvedere (part of Trefl co. but different) etc. You could do a poll in the community section and ask your viewers which brand we'd like to see next reviewed.
