My first death was because I didn't have a marker for my base and got a bit lost. If you have played subnautica, then you will like this game. There is even a fish in an air vent that will look familiar. it is basically the same game when it comes to vehicles, crafting and building. The developers have just done another bug fix and update so you can now craft fabric. They are listening to the players, which is always a good sign for the future of a game.

My oldest son still remembers, to this day, the comment you made in one of your 7DTD videos about buying chili dogs and/or the chili dog recipe after I had mentioned it to you. I'm glad my tip helped you out and made life a lot easier out there in the vacuum of space. And you're right - I didn't see anything, certainly not you almost creaming yourself on an asteroid at or around 12:03 in the video. Nope! No sir. 🙄 I am playing the full release version, having been surprised with an early birthday present by my wife, and am enjoying it thoroughly 🙂🙂 As a final note, I think - THINK - that when the little purple scanner symbol shows up in the lower right part of the screen, it means there is something nearby that can be/should be scanned. Please keep up the great work and thanks again for the shout out, my friend!

Hey Capp, throughly enjoying this play thru. Just a little observation, when you were going through the vertical base the scanner icon kept appearing. Meaning you scan "not ping" as you might be in base room you haven't learned yet.

Alright Mr Overshoot. If you hold left control while flying with jetpack, you're able to put the proverbial brakes on and won't overshoot your vehicle again. :P

Jetpack works in the domes zero G as well, if you're falling just blip the Jetpack to hover and drop gently to the ground. No keys for the Swift Lock doors, they are WIP (work in progress). 13:12 Silver asteroids where you are here, and you can make the advanced fabricator, which will let you make advanced chips etc. The power cells have a separate charger, they take longer to charge than batteries so make a few spares. You probably know all this of course, but every comment helps so I'm told.

There's a secret? chest hidden in the asteroid of your starting base/rescue ship, at least in the demo. There's a cleft in the rock, and if you go down to the bottom there's a smelted mineral box. As others have said, the buildings are scannable with right-click. You can get 2/3 circular room (I think) over at Mox Station.

Someone may have already mentioned it, but the last place you were at (vertical something-or-other), when the scan thing was showing up, you can scan the walls and get new base designs. Doesn't show up with the ping for some reason.
