Interesting that people are transferring deposits these days ahead of signing any contracts. Is that standard practice?

We transferred just some of our deposit to secure the apartment, in case someone else liked the look of it and wanted it too 😅 Because we moved in 10 days after viewing/deciding on it. I guess if you were to move in a day or two after viewing it, you could just sign the contract and pay upfront, but we wanted to move in a bit later :) cheers for watching !

TransferWise (now Wise). Not common here but I can transfer international funds to local accounts with reasonable fees 👍🏼

Hi. I took a look at that video, definitely looks dead in Legian, but I have friends in other areas who say things are pretty normal. Even Saigon isn't fully alive yet, and it may not be the very best time, but it's time for us to move on anyway. Thanks for your info

@@LewisJJC I've been following the Bali situation too. Many foreigners at Canggu, but overall like Ubud, Seminyak and Nusa Dua are still slow. I think you follows Ralph Clesca, dun think he's happy there, no thanks to Ninja Tutor who gave him false infos. Good luck to you too, will miss your Vietnam contents.

International money. In VN if it's not in dong, it's in dollars. We also get paid in dollars now. Funny for a couple from the UK eh?
