I'm a hufflepuff. Also just finished reading the first 2 books, and normally if I watch the movie first and then read the book, I like the movie better than the book. Not in this case. I've been watching the movies for years and loved them, until this year. Through out the month of October my roommate and I watch all the Harry Potter movies. This year my nephew is reading them in school, also a fellow hufflepuff, and has never seen the movies. So he is also watching them with us this year. I decided I would read the first 2 books before we started watching them, 2 movies per weekend, and the whole time throughout the first 2 movies my nephew and I are talking about the differences and left out scenes from the books to the movies. One of the many reasons why October is my favorite month.

For the longest time everyone thought I was Gryffindor or Slytherin but after taking numerous quizzes with varying results I finally got a consistent answer and I learn more towards Hufflepuff with Slytherin and Gryffindor being the least likely for me. Hufflepuff gets a bad rep because they don't explore that house much in the movies but it makes complete sense with the kind of person I am

I took the pottermore quiz years ago and got ravenclaw. They redid everything a few years later so I took it again and got hufflepuff. I was happy with ravenclaw and was so upset to get hufflepuff. Then I thought about their characteristics. Hufflepuff are great friends who are very kind. I am a proud hufflepuff now. I took another quiz from a different site that tells you what percentage you are from each house since I got two different ones. I'm like 5%-7% slytherin. Around 12% gryffindor. Then equal parts hufflepuff and ravenclaw which makes so much sense for me.

I'm a proud Ravenclaw from when it was done on Pottermore ages ago. I retook it when they changed it and the hat allowed me the choice to move into Hufflepuff, as I had developed many qualities. Safe to say, I have always been a person who loves to learn and adapt to new ideas. I also like how Ravenclaw praises individuality (such as the riddle to get into the common room). You are constantly learning, so you never become stuck. That said, I do love the qualities of Hufflepuff as those who are loyal, kind, just, caring and yeah, they like the odd midnight snack. (Their common room is near the kitchens 😋) You should do your wands and Patronus next. My wand is Alder, 10 3/4', brittle. "Alder is often known for picking someone that is opposite to their own traits. When paired well, they can serve as a happy partnership." And my Patronus is a grey dappled mare. I believe this suits me well, as I've always taken a strong affinity towards horses, both for their beauty and their majesty, and the knowledge that if treated kindly, they can be great companions.

Before I knew about the Pottermore quiz, I considered myself a Ravenclaw. The first time I took the Pottermore quiz, I was sorted into Gryffindor. I took it again a few years later and was sorted into Hufflepuff. I'm a proud Puff and think it really is the house that fits me best. My husband is a hufflepuff too.
