I think that document y’all are referring to; is called an AFFIDAVIT.. here in the United States, that’s a legal document you have to go before a Notary public official, or, a Justice Of The Peace Officer..Someone that’s licensed to do that; you have to appear before the Official, take an oath, and swear that the information you have tendered, is a truthful representation of the facts..then on that document, an Official seal will be stamped..I think that’s what y’all are referring to, just by a different name..hope that it will/ was all straightened out..blessings on the family..

Hi Lempies! We were asked to provide the same proof before we could get married in Russia. I think that in your case, since you're already married, you can ask the ministry of home affairs in Namibia to write for you the confirmation letter stating that you have never been married before September 2017. It is normally just a letter that they issue. Someone in Namibia can even go to home affairs for you.

They have no issue making you pay taxes as a married couple but need certification that Lempies was not married in her place of birth. RIDICULOUS!!! I hope you have a great attorney to bring this resolution a swift resolution especially because you are Olivia's parents!!!

Wow ! Very strange ,does all the foreign couples go through that in germany? My sister get in touch with our home affairs in windhoek to get that document They require to end this ordeal. I cant wait to attend the wedding , as you know me Lempi in Namibia you dont really need an invitatation to attend a wedding a the village🤣🤣🤣 Wishing you the best of luck.🥰

She has to go through the Namibian embassy in Germany. They will then send her request to home affairs in Windhoek. But basically they need a marital status letter ( or letter of no impediment). We waited more than 6 months for Namibia to eventually send it over.

I think what Ale need here is his certification from his country that he wasn't merried, finger prints, etc you come over, you get merried here, then opuwo you are done, register Olivia etc. All the best dear

You need an impediment certificate from registers office in Naimbia to prove that you were not married back home. It is a requirement they ask for. I'm from Kenya and I was asked to provide the same

I had my baby in may, we also had to show to the hospital our marriage certificate or the baby should have taken my name . Before marriage( civil) we both gave our "Attestation de celibat" Which shows that we both were not married before .

Why don't they do like here in Namibia,am working at Magistrate Court here and if one partner is a foreign we do the screening at the Home Affairs in Widhoek for example to see if Ale is married in their country and if he have any criminal offence that could denied him from getting married.i real feel for you guys but you will get everything right.i just wanna say the third weeding i want to be invited too💃💃😜😜😅😅❤❤❤

Can a lawyer help question this irregularities of accepting tax from a couple yet not recognizing you are not a married couple and also question why it took them this long to respond to you. Did they question ale, this was reported at the hospital! Discrimination? Or law? Stay safe and trust God

A little complicated but I'm sure it'll be fixed. It's just now things are not so easy but eventually everything will be ok about your marriage thingy. As far as i know yeah, you'll need certificate of no marriage record before the marriage. I already got my certificate of no marriage record in advance to prepare just in case i get married one day. 😬 most importantly, you have a wonderful family. Hi Le.mpies Everywhere you requested to present a certificate from your embassy the you are not married For Alexander has to be from Italy embassy and for Lempie from Namibiam embassy. It is a complicated process here I in EU Legally you are considered living together so you can pay tax together and get the same right as a married couple.. I am from Portugal and my husba d is from Holland and we had to go trough all this process. No way

Hi Lempies and Ale. I can tell you 100% that what you are facing is not discrimination. That is the law in Germany. Being an African Woman married to a German, i had to go through a similar thing. Getting married in Denmark which is relatively easy is recognized in Germany by only a few Offices like the “Finanzamt and Einwohnermeldeamt”. They recognize it because the marriage is in accordance to “EU recht” and Deutschland is part of the EU however, getting married in Denmark is not in accordance to “Deutscherecht“ which means as an African you will have to go through “identitätsüberprüfung“ identity check to prove that “you are you” and never married without this check which took a year and half in my case, your marriage will not be generally recognized in Germany. You can only change your name to your husbands name only when this is done. So far as this is not done your child will have to Aautomatically take the mothers surname and like you said you will need a „Vaterschaftsannerkernung“ but during this process you can tell the official in charge that your child should take her fathers surname which would be accepted. I would recommend you try to get your marriage recognized in accordance to German laws by the standesamt. It would make life easier. I hope this helps.

I am no expert, but have had to deal with German public offices quite a bit. Italians might not have to show a proof for not being married already, because they are Europeans. So the public office in Germany can find out by itself (European databases). This opportunity does not exist for African or other countries outside of the EU, though. So don't feel discriminated. Germany loooves documents. It does sound a bit strange, but maybe they just failed to ask for Lempie's paper in the first place...

I want to also say that a paper is only a document but not LIFE.. Of course you need those for legal matters but you all are MARRIED spirituall, emotionally and physically.. Your families came together at the weddings and obviously approved. When you put out on social media in big letters you are single to grab attention or add drama to your subscribers , this in my opinion is not good and should not be public information. This is utter nonsense. I have never heard of such things. I think you guys should get some legal advice. What about your wedding in Italy? That was the video I first saw and I decided to follow you all. Or was it just a reception in Italy!!! Surely you must have documents from Copenhagen or Italy.
