To fish in terraria you need a big enough pool of water, the size also determines some of the fishing power or may result in possibility to catch trash (old shoe, tin can etc.) Or lower/increase the chance for crates. Each biome also has its own fishing loot pool including biome specific crates that are somewhat rare. Some fish are also used for potion crafting. I recommend getting an alchemy table from the dungeon as it saves 33% materials when crafting potions. The angler guy changes the quest fish every day but can rewards you with some money and special items

You can use rope (might be better than just blocks (like way better XD)) Oh something you should know, the word in front of a weapons name (like nimble, deadly, godly, small, etc.) is actually it’s modifier (like a minecraft enchantment) that’s where the changes to its stats come from, (the green text)

In terraria, you need a big enough body of water to fish in, fishing in 1 block will give literally nothing, also there is another type of floating island which is just water instead of land, and that is a sky lake where you can do fishing in

For optimum fishing, you want about 300 blocks worth of water. You will wind up making your own fishing spots in various regions in order to do fishing quests. And I highly recommend making a fishing hut, which is a small house with platforms as the floor. That way you're covered from monster attacks, and can fish safely. I love the fishing in this game, as well as doing the fishing quests, but I know a lot of players hate it. This is such a great series. Can't wait for the next video.

Yes rain will increase fishing power and also phase of the moon and time of the day can change it. And if liquid that you are fishing in is big enough to fish it still can decrease fishing power if it's small. That might sounds confusing.22:47, yes if you will build a house after you talked with him at least once, he will come and live there(unless there's another NPC that can live in house, if it's gonna "stole his" house then you need to build another house)

Golblin tinkerer is one of the best npcs he will reforge your weapon modifiers, sell rocket boots and sell the work bench that can fuse a lot of accessories into better ones

The naming system you're talking about isn't just about changing the name, with weapons and accessories it's a reforging mechanism that can randomly make the item better or worse, for example with accessories named "Warding" in front it will add 4% defense, "Menacing" is 4% damage or "Quick" is 4% speed, with melee weapons "Legendary" is the best as it adds a bunch of useful stats, or can be "Annoying" which reduces a bunch of attack and attack speed The reforging mechanism is quite interesting because sometimes you can randomly loot some extremely good (or extremely bad) items or you have to spend a lot of money on NPCs to get the modifiers you want

a tip for making things more convenient, you can check npc happiness and npc bestiary entries(you can find this when you open inventory) and build them houses in preferred biomes or near other npcs that they like. Happy npcs will sell things cheaper and sell a crystal for the designated biome they are in. i recommend checking this out, it saves time in the long run also on that note, theres a housing tab at your armour and equipment area, you can right click flags in houses to remove an npc and you can move specific npcs into certain housings if needed

If you plan to make more housings, try to check the npcs "Happiness" button, they will tell you their preferred biome to live in, and their preferred neighbors to have. Happy npc will give you discount on their shop items, and also you can buy 'Pylons' from different biomes if you have npcs stay there, which lets you teleports from one biome to another for free

You need better fishing equipment to get good catches. The mechanic sell you a good rod but only in certain moon phases. You can catch worms by mining surface rocks (background rocks, not blocks), and then combining them with fallen stars. For equipment you should mine hellstone, an obsidian potion gives you immunity to lava so you can mine in hell. Also make sure you explore the dungeon fully.

if a rescue-able npc is killed before being rescued it will respawn but if you do rescue it and then it dies just like the goblin tinkrer you need to build them a house to respawn

Tip: small puddles of water can mean there’s a sky island above Also use rope instead of blocks so you can travel up faster and be able to go back up (you will need to later). Edit: I don’t think the games tells you but the size of the body of water and the surface matters to how effective your fishing power will be. So it’s about 300 blocks of liquid to not suffer a debuff. The angler may have some useful tools but I won’t specify what they do, what you can get, or how many quests you need to do. Btw make a watch using chain, platinum bars, and a table(crafting station for the watch). It’ll help you keep track of time. The angler quests will reset each day at 4:30am.

If not i can help u with it 1.craft a bottle in a workbench and go near to a lake and go to ur inventory and craft water bottles after that go to the guide and show him the water bottle there are a lot of potions in terraria so u gotta see it in a crafting window formation Inorded to do a crafting window formation first open your inventory The crafting menu on the left shows only the items you can craft with what you currently have after that,note: you have to be talking with the guide to actually do this when you are showing him the water bottles Click the hammer icon to expand the list for easier viewing So lets get back to crafting potions In the skeletron dungeon there is a crafting station called the alchemy station it looks like something like a chemist would use after that break it and bring it home There are variety of potion that you can craft like some potions give you fire resistance for 6 minutes which can help u to mine hellstone in hell but also to craft this potions u need flowers Flowers are easy to find u can find it in the overworld,underground and hell but if u don't want to find it Make a house for the dryad to move in The dryad is an npc which sells flower seeds that u can plant in a plant box which the dryad sells Place the plantbox with the plant seeds and there you have it u can now craft potions also u can craft potions without the alchemy station by simply placing a bottle in a workbench

terraria did so much better than minecraft, 1st is the tinkerer's station. i absolutely love combining accessories into new 1s. bosses in terraria r just so much better as well. most terraria bosses feel rewarding to kill, i never actually killed a warden or the wither in minecraft due to not caring about the rewards. also cant forget the variety in weapons spread across 4 different types.
