Can't believe you had a bugged world gen. That brown temple you found in the underground jungle is end-game content. and it has one of the strongest regular enemies. Just like those lizard-man that killed you. Normally you need to defeat like....7 bosses to even be able to enter it. But somehow you got one of the corridors open and so those EXTRA high level enemies can spawn and run at you... Bad luck, a high amount of luck, but bad none the less and yeah, someone already mentioned that you should use Guide's Crafting suggestions menu more often, It really helps with finding new items to craft

Here are a few tips for you: 1. You should explore that underground desert structure (that one made of sandstone bricks) a little more, you are able to find amazing loot there 2. You can talk to the guide, click on crafting, then there will be a slot next to the craftables, you can put any material there and the guide will show you every item which can be crafted with the one you put into that slot 3. You dont need to mine every ore 4. Chests can reward very good loot and there are different chests with different loot depending on the biome you are in 5. If you find the dungeon just enter it, in there you will find good loot 6. You can even explore the ocean

As an extension to ores there are tiers of ores too: 1 - Tin/Copper 2 - Lead/Iron 3 - Tungsten/Silver 4 - Gold/Platinum (You can only have one from each tier in a world, for example a world can have platinum but not gold, and vice versa, unless you fish.) 5 - Crimtane/Demonite (Demonite is from corruption, yours is crimson so you can only get Crimtane.) 6 - ??? 7 - ??? There's more after that but there are two main ores you'll find later.

So much fun seeing someone play Terraria mostly blind! I havent finished the video yet, so I might edit my comment, but a couple pieces of advice from someone with a little over 5000 hours on the game: Frostburn is your best friend in the early game, digging something we in the community call a "hellevator" will be super helpful throughout your playthrough, hold onto some of your older weapons as you never know if they may be helpful later on, and holding onto a piggy bank and platforms is a great way of extending your inventory while adventuring. Can't wait to see how the rest of the series unfolds!

Tips: 26:08 - that is a pyramid, there may be a room in it with a golden chest and some money. You should check it out. For the brain of cthulhu the new boss you just beat, you now have its tissues which you can use with the crimtane ore/bars to make crimtane armor and a crimtane pickaxe. Something happens if you go up really high, maybe try using graviton potions to get up there? (Note you'll need to search for a while to find something.) Conversely something also happens if you go down extremely far to the bottom of the universe.

A few tips in case no one else has mentioned it. Potentially vague minor spoilers. 1. You can use items from your inventory by left clicking them on the screen outside the inventory while holding them with the mouse. Right click drops the item. 2. The reason you have been randomly using healing potions is because they have a quick use hotkey. 3. There is a housing management menu if you click the house icon next to your equipment. When it is open you can see which NPC inhabits which house and also choose where they live. Right clock on an NPC banner to remove it. 4. If I had a pet shark pup, I would probably name it Wilson. Just gotta find some bait..

Some quality of life tips and maybe a few more. 1st, if you place a chest next to your crafting stations, you can craft using materials from said chest if you have it opened when standing nearby, super useful for inventory management. The desert structure you found and didn't explore might have something you really want, or it can be a troll, depends on luck The merchant sells rope for cheap that is super useful for going up and down long passages, and you can build rope going upwards. While no guarantee, at 29:36 there might be something far up if you rope high enough, but might not. Speaking of merchant, get a piggy bank from him and store your gold in it, you can always hit "quick stack to nearby chests" (best button ever inventory) when back at base to keep your precious money safe, while still allowing you to spend it from the piggy bank.

Some people gave you advices already about housing and etc. I'll just give you a reminder about potions (And i forgot to mention that you can craft them using the bottle that you can place and using the bottled water and different ingredients - craft useful potions (and if you don't know the Recipes - you can come to Guide and place ingredient to check out the needed ingredients:))) And second of all - about arenas that you make for bosses. You can upgrade them by placing a campfire (it needs a few torches and wood) and it will give a regeneration boost to you. And also - heart cristals can be crafted into the heart lamps with some chains crafted from lead bars (which are generally useful, so collect them :)) and they will provide more regeneration Last but not least - it is angler (the guy you found at the beach). He is one of the most important NPC's. Once per ingame day you can get a quest from him to fish for a specific type of fish for which he will give you more fishing equipment and decorations. And as i said - fishing not only gives you food and materials for potions, but special items :) Thats about it for today :)

I haven't watched the full Video yet so maybe you already found out. but right above the slot where you did put your eye mask is a little house icon. With that you can "move" NPCs between housings, which makes it an easy task to make the trader guy move out. You can also check if the house is suitable for NPCs with the "?" Button.

Congrats on defeating the Brain of Cthulhu. Some people said that the boss is a bit harder than the Eater of World (Which is a boss of another evil biome where you select Corruption instead of Crimson while making a new world.) Keep in mind that this are people opinions, some even say that Eater of World are harder sometimes. Here's a tips, Crimatine tools are better than platinum. you'll need a Crimatine Pickaxe(which require both Crimatine bar and Tissue sample from Brain of Cthulhu). The pickaxe is needed to mine better ores that even platinum pickaxe is unable to mine(i wont gonna say which ores but it'll be useful for progress). If you wanna progress further, your next objective is to go very...very deep underground. oh yeah obsidian exist btw and you can craft armor with it.

As you might have noticed, interacting with npcs gives you random but interesting dialogue. Sometimes the npcs may also comment on events that happen (such as blood moons). The guide also offers many random tips on what to do next with the "help" button as you progress in the game. Great video! Speaking of, each time you load the world, you can either get the corruption or the Crimson. You got the Crimson biome, which has the brain of Cthulhu. The other biome you could’ve gotten would be the corruption which would be purple and also have a different boss called the eater of worlds. your player isn’t actually linked to the world so you could join a new world with the corruption and then fight the boss there and bring all the loot from that world to your main one!

This series has been so much fun! I love watching people discover the amazing game Terraria is! People has been giving you lots of tips, so here is mine hoping it will be useful: You can craft sticky bombs, so that when you place a bomb it will stay in the same place (no rolling) This can be super helpful for exploration. Also, there is a type of bomb called Sacarab bomb that is a sticky thrown explosive used for mining large shafts, once placed they will explode away from you in a straight line. there are many statues in the game that (when hooked up to wire systems [you will learn later]) can spawn hostile mobs and critters (though statue spawned creatures don't drop as much stuff, and you can't catch statue spawned critters) there is also some status that drop things like recovery hearts and recovery mana, and one that just gives you Bombs. also, little side note, you can play with one character, across many worlds, with the exception that journey characters cannot go onto normal worlds, and normal characters can't go onto journey worlds. (Journey Mode is basically creative mode, kinda, you should play it after this playthrough.)

Some tips and hints that don't tell much, but can be useful. Nothing detailed to not break your exploration and reaction to things you'll eventually find. QoL tips! 1. Explore the UI of the game, you may find some interesting buttons around. 2. There are very useful shortcuts in the game, check the game controls to find more. (Favorite button) 3. You can use the Left Shift key to also quick select a tool from your inventory (same key to pull up the torch to your hand), try aiming to a tree or to a block while holding down Left Shift key button. (This will be useful to free some action bar slots later) 4. You can consume/use items by just grabbing them with the left click in the inventory, dragging out and then Left-Click to use. If you Rick-Click you toss the item out from the inventory instead. Pro Tips! 1. Explore the NPCs, some things are very hidden and the game doesn't tell about these stuff. 2. Information accessories like depth metter and radar works in the inventory, this can save your accessory slots for better accessories. This is very unnoticeable, hence why I'm telling. 3. It's good to explore the surface, but is the surface the highest place of the world? Bonus: 1. The crimson hearts that you have destroyed to summon the Brain of Cthulhu drops an item, these items are unique and cannot be found in another way. (There is another way, but i won't spoil) 2. You can find an option to turn ON "auto-use" while holding down the use/attack button. Good to avoid pain in your hands later.

Holy sh- that strange place with the dark brown bricks in the underground jungle you found, is very lucky to find early game. I will say not much more on it but it is very useful in the late game. But some other advice. The "Happiness" button that all the NPCs have is to check on wether they like the place they live or who they live by. If they're happy enough they'll give discounts on items yhey sell, and crystals uses for teleportation between towns. And yes those achievements are excellent for helping push you forwards in progression. Campfires give a little bit of accelerated health regeneration when they're placed, good for arenas. And talk to your Guide, Jacob. His "Help" button will be a little redundant and repetitive but for you some of his advice is also what we'll be saying. Also we'll be praying for you during that Goblin Invasion. You're going to need it. And buff potions. Those will become newrly necessary for upcoming boss fights and events

Dryads didn't like that and tried to kill him, but he's a big powerful boi so they failed, but instead they managed to DISASSEMBLE HIM INTO PIECES AND THROW THEM ACROSS ALL OF THE TERRARIA BUT EVEN THEN THOSE PARTS BY THEMSELVES VERE POWERFUL ENOUGH TO BECOME SENTIENT AND GO KILL PEOPLE: The EYE of Cthulhu and The BRAIN of Cthulhu you already encountered. If you would have a different evil biome in your world (you have CRIMSON, the other one is called CORRUPTION) you would meet the. . . guts of Cthulhu which manifested into a worm called "the world eater"? You also later will encounter SKELETRON. . . which is his skeleton obviously

In the next video I'd really love for you to explore 2 things: - Go to the very right end of the map, and hopefully before you reach the right beach you will come across a forest with huge trees. Explore the big tree (there is a chest there). I think you'll love what you find in that tree chest (hint: it's a staff made by Darwin) - Go back to the yellow brick building inside the desert. That is a pyramid and you're very lucky you spawned in a world with a pyramid. Explore that and get the sweet sweet loot. Everything you may find inside the pyramid is useful and potentially a game changer in how your character moves about. Very helpful for bosses. Also, place 1 or 2 gravestones on the grass and check back after a few in game days.

I'm going to sound rude, but please just pay attention to the text logs and your own inventory, every time you break an orb/heart in the corrupted biomes it gives you loot, you lost the loot of 3 hearts because you broke them from afar using bombs and didn't go there to collect, also you get crimson ore from killing bosses, and it's stronger, better and easier to find them platinum. Also read what each merchant sells and give a look into their inventories, some are garbage, most are, but some are so useful that life without them would be unplayable, one of them is the first merchant, you had access to him the whole time and choose not to look to what he sells Take your time reading things inside the game, it's no a spoiler if it's right there, and you just overlook 3 times

The mob spawning system is a little different here than minecraft Instead of light , the walls stop mobs from spawning, even if you don't have torches in your room there won't be any mobs And no matter how many torches you spam in the outside, they will keep spawning Also natural walls will still spawn mobs , there are the walls in underground and stuff that you cannot obtain by breaking it Only the walls placed by players will stop them

Tip: plant a few acorns and then stand there for like 5 minutes. You will truly see the 'best game ever' moment. In Terraria you can watch trees grow and it's such a magical experience. Also each type of tree gives different wood and different textures for your houses. They look pretty awesome. If you're a builder, use all kinds of blocks to build. And here's a small gameplay tip: hit a bunch of trees one time each with your axe. Sometimes useful things come out like fruits (consume for a stat buff), coins, wild critters you can catch, and even a pet.

It might have been mentioned by someone else already but certain accessories like the depth meter and radar still function as long as they're in your inventory. this saves accessory slots for things with more useful effects. Also, as much of a meme it is about the guide being useless his "crafting" advice is very helpful (especially if you aren't using a wiki on the side). He lets you lookup all possible crafting recipes (including what crafting station it requires) for any item with the "material" tag in the tooltip. Also also, there's a house icon in the inventory menu by the armor slots, clicking on it will help you with npc housing. Just a few QoL things i thought you might want to know.

Progression tips! Not really any spoilers for the first five! The underground jungle and desert are great bastions of loot, but they are quite dangerous. Please use the guide's crafting. If you talk to him, click on crafting, and then place a material in the slot, you can see everything you can make with it. More npc houses, while not really required for a playthrough, can be quite nice. On the far end of one of the sides of the world, on the surface, is a dungeon. It is highly recommended to explore inside as early as possible, some people say not to go in because the enemies are pretty string, but you seem to have progressed enough. At either end of the world, goblin scouts can spawn, use the guide to check what the materials they drop craft, it's pretty cool. These tips have light spoilers from now on When you explore the underground jungle, there are giant bee hives, there are boss summons inside that only give you one chance to fight the boss. For that boss, if you get a bezoar from a hornet, you should use it as an accessory. This tip is here because I dont want to pressure you. There are four damage types in the game which are associated with the four classes: melee, magic, ranged, and summoner. While it doesnt matter too much at the start, it progressively gets more important as the game progresses, so it is recommended that you choose a class by the half way point of the game.

When fairies don't show loot and just follow you, that means that there isn't any rare loot near by such as platinum/gold, heart crystals and chests, also when there isn't any rare loot near by there isn't a quiet flying sound coming from the fairies You should try finding Silt (from the caves) and fossil (from the underground desert) and use them in the extractinator to get ores and gems

I have a Tip too!! Go into the underground and place a lot of torches. It will actually keep monsters away from that area but only works for underground You can also replace blocks rather than mine them and place them. Just hover over them with the block of your choice and it will mine and place it after it breaks. It uses your current picks mining speed and power

12:14 statues can be wired and when they are activated by a button it will spawn a mob from the statue for example if u have zombie statue it will spawn zombies its really useful for farms 2. If u want npc to move to the specific house u must fo it mannually with the house icon over the accesories slot 3. Shark bait is a pet and u equip it same as grappling hook (fyi the best in prehardmode is diamond hook)

There are chests in the ocean and one in that desert pyramid, and the guide is a guide, he suggests what you need to do next sometimes and he shows you every possible crafting recipe with the item you put in his menu (and he's the key to a glitch involving achievements lol) but most importantly, make platforms. Not only can you place them down for the arena like you did, you can just place them on walls and they will help you immensely with traversing the map (screw ropes). Jump up place one under your feet basically. Also since you're on classic there's a lot of drops you're locked out of from early bosses such as the infamous shield of cthulu which is an essential item until almost the end of the game. But classic difficulty means you might not even need it anyway XD And finally a lot of people don't like using the wiki but this game isn't really friendly to newbies, heck there's apparently a housing tutorial on the menu I've never seen before, but yeah I'd say that's probably the one thing you'll want to look at above all else, there's a couple basic videos on youtube to get you started and to understand the housing menu button. Get the guide and other important npc's to move in.

So much things in one episode! You are doing so well for your first time. First, don't worry about looking for platinum, better explore the underground jungle, desert and tundra as they have better loot than normal underground. You can make the next tier pickaxe with the tissue samples from the brain, so when you feel ready and have enough digging speed go dig straight down to the bottom of the map, that should be the next step after you explored the underground biomes. Also the meteorite spawns on the surface, so go left or right and you should find it. Good luck and thanks for the video!

I havent finished the video yet but if you dont know there is a jungle biome to the left that has a ton of loot underground and it spawns more ores and heart crystals also if you grab an item and right click it outside of your inventory (consumable) you can use it without putting it in your hotbar and you can quick heal by clicking h and quick buff by clicking b

Tips that don't reveal spoilers 1. Monsters can spawn, even when there are torches. Monster spawn rates go down when there are several villagers/npcs around 2. Use Campfires and Heart Lanterns to increase regeneration around you 3. Use the Crafting button on the Guide to see what items can be crafted with a material 4. Dig straight down until you get to the bottom of the world. Don't worry, you'll see lava unlike in minecraft 5. Get an Alchemy Table. it has a 20% chance to save your ingredients and are therefore more efficient 6. Explore the skies using Gravitation Potions 7.By building 2 houses nevt to each other in a biome and moving in people, if they are happy, they will sell a Pylon. Pylons teleport you to another pilon when you are next to it, and 2 villagers are near by.

Btw, I would recommend putting a campfire in your arenas in the future (crafted with wood + torches). It provides some health regeneration when nearby and is very cheap. Also, if you ever want to re-fight the brain you can craft it's summoning item with vertebrae from crimson enemies and powder crafted from crimson mushrooms at the same place you crafted the eye summon.

Congrats on beating the brain! here is a few tips -You can now access better armor, and a higher level of pickaxe, the strength of which can only be challenged in the deepest and hottest parts of your world! -When it comes to housing now that you have more NPC's they will be upset and raise prices if they are in groups more than 2 so be sure to make houses in different areas of your world, some of them even like different biomes enough to give you different teleportation crystals! -With the blood butcher in hand you can now make one of the most powerful swords at this point of progression, all you need to do is combine the sharpest blades from the Dungeon, Jungle, and Bottom of your world. Btw to my fellow terraria players, I have NEVER seen a Jungle temple that close to the surface before so interesting find!

Few funny little tips. Oceans have chests in the depths. You can use consumables directly from the inventory by clicking with them outside of the inventory squares. You need to go to hell at some point, literally.. Items like the baby shark thing can be placed in their own slot to have a pet following you just chilling. If you want the things following you to fight. try to make some summoner gear. For the love of the empress please use the guide (NPC) when you get a new material. Edit because it came to me. You can eliminate those "did I already loot this" moments by just taking the chest.then you can make a chest of chests where you can grab one if you need more storage. Also its seems you discovered invasions are a thing in the end.

Hello! If you want minions help you with combat, you can craft a summon staff (yeah, it's for summoner class but it's really helpful). With your progression, you can craft a "Flinx Staff" by going to the Ice Biome and unaliving the white turkey looking things called "flinx". You need 6 flinx fur and 10 gold or platinum bar.

If you click on a boulder when it has open space, it will trigger the boulder. You should turn off smart cursor and trigger the boulder through blocks, and that will destroy it since it is contained by 2 walls.

A quick tip that can help with mining and building, if you click ctrl it will swap between auto placing and manual. So for example when placing walls if you have auto on it places ob the empty slots but manual forces you to hover the cursor above where you wanna put it. Manual can therefore be more precise. When my friend started playing Terraria blindly I told him to look for deep and narrow holes in the ground, this is because you can find something called the sword shrine which has a really high chance of containing the Enchanted Sword which is pretty good for early game

Yep beating bosses is the way to progress here in Terraria, so you're doing a great job taking down another one. Also, you can just use items from your inventory, no need to put them in your hotbar first. Just select an item and place/click out of the inventory slots. This will help save a ton of time from putting items into the hotbar first. Last but not the least, you can ask the guide for recipes of items with "Material" tags on them, make sure to use it!

All fairies are the same just different colours, also I recommend using block swap, where you just place a block while your cursor is on another block, which automatically mines that block and replaces it with the block you're holding. What the angler said, basically you can find floating islands up in the sky. you're lucky you found the jungle temple really early, it's for much later though, however the desert temple you can go in right now just keep digging left you'll find a tunnel. After the goblin army you can find a new npc underground who will come in handy, and for the meteorite you should find it if you just explore the surface it will be crashed somewhere

If you’re looking for a spelunker potion is what you need. If you don’t know how to craft something, try putting a material in the guide’s “crafting” menu and you will see how to craft all things with that material. Also potions are super OP in this game. It’s really helpful to set up a herb farm using clay pots or planters from the dryad.

Statues are either decorative or they spawn monsters slime statue equals slime when activated by a wire( Terraria redstone) you need to beat the curse at the dungeon and hold something for wiring like a pressureplate or darttrap to see wires. But there should be a wire between any traps you find and the pressureplate you activated it with that can activate the statues Important knowledge is most statue monsters don't drop gold or items Some to look out for are Slime statue it's a exception to the no item drop, so you get infinite gel Heartstatue they drop hearts that restore health though they have a cooldown perfect for boss arenas The star statue does the same as the heart but for mana instead of health King and queen statue transport your townfolk to the statue make them earn their rent by throwing them at bosses Chest statue... funny Angel statue decorative but you can go to the furthest corner of the world Jungle (the biome with the background you didn't like and bamboo) side right before the beach dig down and find something interesting you know you missed it if you see lava. Then you'll know what to do, probably

I want to write this to the other terraria lovers here; I personally think we should let our man here enjoy the game by himself, with little assistance via the comments. Why? Remember when you were a kid, and you found this game in some way? Your first moments probably either felt terrifying with the little information you had, or filled you with wonder and curiosity. Kind of like our guy here. Now, imagine if you had a bunch of friends or something of the like that told you a bunch of stuff about the game beforehand, or you watched a tips and tricks video on terraria. Playing it for the first time would probably not be as fun or interesting in comparison to a completely fresh experience. The game has spread pretty far now, so finding someone who can have such a fresh experience, like this person, is very rare. I am not here to try and police stuff; I love this game just as much as the rest of us, and I want to give tips to this guy just as much as others here do. I just believe and suggest us to limit our backseat gaming and/or info. My first moments with this game hold a special place in my heart; it might be the same for you. And the mystery with your world, I believe, is a main contributor for this feeling. So please, if you are going to give some tips, I request you to think about whether or not he’ll find out about those tips on his own or not. As for unicorn, I love these videos. Seeing someone play this game for the first time is always a blast. Can’t wait to see how your experience will shape up later!

Ask about cobwebs. That's the start of making a bed.

Hear me out. Quick Stack. Near your trash slot there are some buttons, one for the quick stack, one for bestiary, one for sorting inventoryand one for emoting. Quick stack puts matching items in your inventory in chests near you and bestiary has information about monsters you killed based on the kill count

Also don't worry about cracked blocks. They will restore to full condition if you leave them alone for a few minutes. Each block just has an 'HP' that will show up as cracks as you strike with your pickaxe, but I guess you can figure it out since this mechanic is similar to Minecraft.

i hope you enjoy this game is one of my favorites of all time, and after you finish it you can replay it on a harder difficulty setting if you so wish, because terraria difficulty change alot of the game change AI of enemys patterns stuff , its a bit different from minecraft, minecraft difficulty is mostly just stats up witha few differences like 100% guaranted villager conversion or zombies being able to break doors, terraira is like a totally rebalance of the game alot of new items, you acctualy get more accessory slots to balance it out and so on. but do so only after you finish one playtrough lol and always see the guide tips, his tips are based in you gameplay, he never tell things you not ready to do yet, and always give useful tips and give you a immersive hint/guide you to the next step.
