How to catch a Filipina Step 1: Go to a mall in the Philippines Step 2: Purchase a poke ball Step 3: Throw the poke ball Step 4: Point and yell at the poke ball "FOREIGNER WANTS MARRIAGE AND BABY IF YOU CAN CATCH THAT BALL!!!!!!" Step 5: stand back and watch women of all ages run towards the ball, even the women who didn't hear or understand what was said also just doing with the quicker ones are doing. Trust me guys, this worked for me... and then I woke up. Aaaaahhh what a dream.

You are so right Pea. I met my wife on Filipina Heart in December 2009. I watched for the signs. She told me her parents died when she was 2 years old but she had four sisters and one brother. So I knew the commitment. She told me she had a son from a one night stand with a Filipino guy. James is amazing he doesn’t live with us but we support him. My wife’s choice not mine. December to January through Christmas she didn’t have a dying relative and never asked for money. I asked her to meet me in Hong Kong in February 2010 and she said are you crazy I cannot afford a flight! I paid for the flight and found it hilarious she thought she had to pay!! She never asked for anything during the week we spent together. Skip to 2023 we have three daughters age 12, 8 and going 2. Jen still never asks for anything for herself. I just bought her an iPhone 14 Pro just to say thank you for being you. Filipina are the best ever wives if you get it right.

By the time you done you inquiries, can you imagine the resentment created.. Think about it, how would it make you feel if she had to interigate your family, friends and exs about you.. My view is any relationship starts with a decision. Depending the kind of relationship defines the kind of decision. A loving relations starts with a decision to love the other party and visa versa. Then you put into place a infrastructure consisting of rules and boundaries and build on that.. Most people was raised by parents that themselves didn't know if what they were doing was correct.. So if someone was in a toxic relationship before and not acting the way that you now want you now based on your inquiry cancel this person.. My view is that if you know what you want and need, show leadership, your women will follow rather than wanting to make yourself look all mighty and her all small.. Think about it

How to catch the RIGHT Filipina? Be the RIGHT guy. Have good values. Be other-centered rather than self-centered. Have good morals. Look beyond having a good time. Don’t rush into a relationship. Be a quality person even as you look for a quality person. Seek to be in a good relationship with her family. Stay away from the bars and wild night life. Pea: You really hit the nail on the head with a sledge hammer with this video. Every point is spot on, and then makes the spot big enough that only a blind person would miss it. It all boils down to the idea that if you want to live your happiest life, find the place that makes you happiest first, then pick from the potential dating partners from the surroundings. Pulling someone away from where they love to be isn't going to make them a happy partner. Check off the boxes that make you happy, and then look for the person who enjoys the same things, if you both enjoy most of the same things, then you'll enjoy the time you spend together even more. The new outro video is great!

We met on Christian Filipina. I was just casually browsing when she sent me a question. "Have you had any luck on this site?". I told her, "Not really that much, but I joined a few months ago." That's when we started talking with each other. We are both older. I was searching for someone without children and a few years younger than me. She was looking for someone who doesn't give up on relationships. I am eight years older than her. Many people don't worry about age gaps. However, it's been my experience when there's a large gap, there are nuances lost in translation between the generations.

Hi Pea!! The one thing you said that really resonates with me is the fact that there are many different cultures in Philippines 👍 My wife and her family are Ilacono and she is always saying that Visayan people are different. I got to see that first hand when I had a boss from Cebu. He was much different that my wife's family in the way he viewed things. From my perspective, the Visayan people are warriors. In general, my wife's family tend to be more merchant oriented. My boss was a prior service US Army Infantry soldier so we have that in common. My wife insists that Filipinos are not that aggressive. I disagree because it depends on the Island or region the Filipino is from👍 I also have friends and coworkers from Mindanao and they are Visayan too but they have a different take on certain aspects of politics and religion than the folks in the North and in other parts of the Visayan region. Yes, most are Catholic but there are still differences in the way they view their faith. Hope your weekend is good, Pea👍🤙🇵🇭🇺🇸

It's convenience (on both sides). The upside is not having to get dressed, groomed, etc., not having to physically meet someone. For many people- especially introverts- this is a far more comfortable setting than being out in public; there's a very low bar of social anxiety for entry. You can also tailor your communication to your preference- you aren't committing an hour or two to a date, you can stop a conversation at any time and pick it up later whenever you choose. You have a lot more control over the information that you give to your partner- what you look like, act like, sound like, your friends/family/etc., is all passed through a filter you can control. It's easier. But then, of course, you have to consider that all that convenience has a price: the loss of information. It becomes just as easy for someone to lie about or maybe even unintentionally omit information that would otherwise be important. That control over information cuts both ways- they know less, and so do you. It's honestly bad for both partners in terms of taking on extra risk- the woman may have red flags she hides from the man, but also vice-versa. If a man projects some make-believe image of himself online that he can't live up to in real life, the woman will recognize the deception and withdraw her respect (followed by her love). That's as much a recipe for failure as a man investing emotion into a scam artist. Edit: For foreigner-Filipina dating specifically, it's also less 'expensive'. You don't need a plane ticket to meet. Problem is the short term savings often aren't worth the long-term expenses in wasted time and/or money. It's a bad habit worldwide for people to get hooked by the immediate expense of something (virtually free) only to pay much more than they expected down the line. Why else would so many things like subscription services offer 'free trials'? It's because they work. They wouldn't offer free trials if they weren't making money somehow- they're betting (and succeeding) on future profit.

Everything in this video is spot on (as usual). That said, I did everything Pea says not to do and it worked out well for me (met a girl online, traveled to meet her, etc.). But the odds are admittedly long. If you want to try online dating, common sense rules apply. Watch for red flags: anyone near the bar scene, wants to get affectionate too quickly, talks about money, isn't candid about her dating past, etc. It actually isn't that hard. And be prepared to bail. Unlike the US, in SE Asia, you are the prize. It takes a while to get used to, for someone who has been brutalized in the US dating scene. But after experiencing dating in SE Asia, you'll never date in the US again.

This was the best advice I've heard from anyone on KZbin, male or female, regarding how to find a good match. Spend a lot of time identifying your wants, then identify your dealbreakers (and don't be shy about that, you know what really bothers you), and then stick to it. Don't balance out the dealbreakers, they're dealbreakers for a reason. That said, no one is perfect, don't sweat the little things and roll with it and enjoy life.

It took 2 years before I got to meet my Filipina. Due to Covid. We met last April. Every problem that could come up didn't happen. Money I gave her was used for what she said. Went to school like she said and no children. It's strange that covid was a blessing in my case.( I know it was harder for some). We are still strong after 4 years and getting married soon. Her visa is nearly done. I feel so blessed and lucky to have her. I just hope every man or woman looking for love in the Philippines has nothing but the best.

This was a particularly excellent presentation, Ms. Pea. You just keep getting better and better. What I learned is: 1. Do some soul searching. Determine what kind of living environment, activities, social structure, and family needs you require to be happy. Also, attributes detailed above, that you just can't tolerate. 2. Make a well planned, versatile, long term trip to the Philippines. Travel as much as possible, for as long as possible, immerse yourself in the culture, make friends, but keep it light - really get to know the culture(s). (For me, this will take at least a year.) 3. After getting to know the different environments, start to focus in on where you want to live, if you desire to stay in country, or where you want to stay for a while, that will have the kind of women you are looking for. 4. Spend some time in your focus area, become involved in the kinds of activities that you'll want to share with her. Hopefully find someone special to start dating. 5. Be honest, with yourself, and with the people you come in contact with, about your expectations, limits, wants and needs. Don't let emotions or "hopeful thinking"cloud your judgements. Let your logic be set in stone, even if (especially if) hers and / or her families' isn't. And let your mantra be: "Do all the things - as long as you don't harm anyone, including yourself."

Hi Pea! Your last advice to chat up women only for a while is a good advice. I found my lady that way and I know from experience that there are a lot of bad choices to be made on the dating sites. I made sure that at any time I was willing to walk away and I made sure that I was only chatting with a woman for about four weeks before meeting up. In my experience the women online that are very skilled at making an engaging chatting experience are the ones that can not be trusted. And that makes sense: it is how they make their money. It is their job. The women that are kind and always respond but struggle to keep a chat engaging are the ones you are looking for. My girl is very very sweet. First time we dined together was with her sister and she paid for dinner behind my back. It was actually her sister that invited me to visit her family. But mostly... she quit her job before I promised to send some financial support. And I told her that I do not totally feel comfortable with the financial support so she knows that is only a temporary thing. Money conversations in filipino culture are fascinating. On the one hand families kinda need some help. But when you literally say that they will be offended. So you have to frame it correctly or otherwise they will not accept it. And truth is that I also did not want to make it more difficult on this family by simply taking the girl. Her brother-in-law is such a fine fellow. TY!

My wife, a Filipina, caught me. 😁 Honestly, I wasn't into the long distance relationships and I wanted to end things with her but...she was persistent. One day a voice inside of me said, Love her. So, I decided to love her at that moment and we married shortly afterwards. I know she had been praying for me and perhaps that was the voice of God (with the intercession of St. Padre Pio to whom she has a devotion). Anyways, I can say that years later I love her more today than when I first met her and...I am glad I listened to that voice.

I really like that you are pushing the narrative of not meeting online while still overseas I also always advocate for shopping locally. I don’t use Amazon or eBay. But considering how much the world has grown accustomed to having everything delivered instead of going to go get it it’s no wonder that meeting online overseas is getting more and more popular as well. And then just like how dissatisfied most customers are with their Amazon purchase being not quite what was described or not at all what was described, same thing happened when you’re trying to date online overseas. As I have told you many times now that I met my wife online on a dating app but she only lives a few miles away. As compared to the online shopping, I looked at the catalogue of what the store had to offer and saw a bunch of products that I was interested in and then I went to the store to check them out first hand. Although we did talk online for several months before we actually met, when we did actually meet it was at the mall that was local to both of us. So to all the guys in all the countries around the world that are interested in a Filipina, don’t forget that one of the worlds largest exports of women are from the Philippines. There is probably a large assortment of single Filipina women Living in everyone’s neighbourhood. Most of them are there on work permits and are single. Most of them never married and no kids. Not all of them just most of them. And if you’re so driven to go to the Philippines anyways. There is no way Filipina you met in your home country won’t want to take you back to visit her land and her family with you.

Your videos are like a study guide to understanding Filipinas and variety culture differences throughout the islands. It's been about 16 months since I've been talking to the same wonderful Filipina who's from Del Suriago. With in the first 6 months of online video calls & countless messages, she was thinking I was to good to be true, she has 2 friends who are married and living here in America. I got to meet them and their husbands. One drove from Indiana the other one flew out from Kansas to Ohio. They all told my lovely Filipina that I'm legit. Half of her family told her to go have fun, while the other half wanted to see me first for a few days especially her brother who is a federal police officer. So I decided to change my itinerary for a few days. I'll be over there for about 2.5 weeks. What advice can you give me on Mindanao Island culture how to greet her mother , her aunt & uncles when I see them? Thank you in advance

Hey Pea. Thanks for laying this out for the online guys and one prior online guy which would be me. I learned that even if you are having 2 one hour video chats a day and numerous messages thru messenger that things were being hidden and the direct lies and lies by ommission were huge. You can finally understand why so many Filipinas say the past is the past. It is because if you knew you might run for the hills in Valencia. Pea has explained some terms in the past that you cannot understand until you are there in person. They are Utong na Loob(Contributions by the Filipina to the family), matigas ulo(Stubborneness), selosa(how jealous and nuts she gets) and of course the chismis(how you are being talked about behind your back and it happens every day; learn Tagalog). I left out make up and filters which are a sub category of direct lies. Just remember caveat emptor, let the buyer beware. Salamat Maganda Pea.

Loads of great observations and advice as always, thanks Pea. The dating sites can be good for making initial contact, weeding out obvious finance extractors, and collecting some phone numbers. Meeting them for the first time in person can be …and often is, whole different thing. Take Pea’s advice and don’t invest too much emotion and certainly not money, until you’ve spent a lot of time together, seen her situation in person and preferably met her family. Doing it all when there, is is probably best although many great relationships have started online.

I started online dating Filipinas a few years ago. After being burnt by one who always seemed to need my money, I set a hard boundary. I’m not sending a dime to anyone anymore, and I was upfront about this. I talked to a lot of girls, and 6 months ago I finally found one who only wants me to come visit her. She doesn’t have much, but she said that if I go there, I wouldn’t need to bring money. She’d take care of me. Of course, when I visit this October, I’m going to treat her right. I thank you very much, Ms. Pea. Your guidance helped me gain the confidence to set a standard for myself. I’m 42 and and retire in 3 years looking forward to heading to the Philippines upon retirement and utilizing your advice. I recently got an unexpected temporary assignment in the Washington DC area. One day when I was walking into the office I was nearly stopped in my tracks by the sight of a gorgeous creature with morena skin and long jet black hair that smiled and said “Good Morning, sir” with a familiar accent. After a few weeks of these encounters, I was cornered in the break room one day when this exotic woman came up to me and extended her hand and introduced herself. I was stung by this beauty that hails from deep in the province of Northern Luzon. In a couple short hours from now, I’ll be eating Pork Adobo followed by Filipino karaoke. Help me Pea! I’ve been stung right here in the States! Haha

The purpose of being in a relationship is that you are better in one than you are single. The onjective is happiness and growth. Here's how I see it. I'm in my 60's som thectime I have left is precious. Finding the right place and partner is very important because if Ibget it wrong the opportunity for a do over is limited. Rather than rushing into a relationship "because I'm short on time" I'd rather INVEST time in finding the right place and partner before making the commitment. You do not know someone until you meet and dpend time together. Thanks for the common sense advice.😊

Agreed. Relationships (and friendships) should develop organically as a secondary process of some larger shared activity, interest or goal. For example, I enjoy kayaking, hiking, chess, philosophy, ethics, and very long beach walks, among other things, so doing those things on my own or as part of some local group will put me in contact with others who are actively doing those things; as opposed to people simply writing in an online profile that they essentially 'would' do those things but instead are choosing to sit at home and email more profiles.

Streigth talk, common sense and humor... Spot on. Now, if one knows English and Spanish, to learn to understand Pilipino is not that hard, a lot of key-words are loanwords. But to talk ... The "mix" is very rich, going on for thousands of years, and the mixing goes on, not only Taglish, allso influence of Cebuano, Waray-waray, etc... and local forms of colloquial language , hard to know what means a poorly translated expression... Even in my own language, I can't understand what is the origin of saying that something hangs out of my feet, to say " I can't stand this anymore - no lo aguanto mas , in Spanish - pagod na ako. "Mining", how to know that Pilipino did loan it, and build a loan-word pagmimina, trabajo will give trabaho, that engineer will give enhinyero,...? Even without knowing, you would understand.... Trabaho sina? Inyenhero siya, sa pagmimina ...- maybe I make mistakes, it would be understood. But HOW would I know that for work they did loan spanish trabajo , for enhinyero, english, engineer , etc...? Even more, often there is a real "local" word, however people are introducing mag/ma/pa/um.../-loanwords... There was a very well developped international trade before the spanish arrived, and they were there 300 years before Uncle Sam...really, to buy, a loanword for BILL as only word ? (BumILI , BILhin...) ... For ALL speakers of Tagalog ? Not that sure ! So, I think the best is repeat , repeat,...and LISTEN. It is in fact a succession of pidgins from several languages , each new one makes the older more rich... Without doubt, very interestig for linguists and historians, but allso for who so ever that wants to show at least some respect for those who know and owe the country... At least, to communicate requires more than make a gesture as having a glass in your hand , lift the head, open the mouth and say glugluglu. Maybe even that can't be understood... Even if one is young, and wants to marry a young one speaking very well English, she has uncles and aunts ... would they have to accept a child does tranlate ? I am allmost sure they will not appreciate : THEY are the elders, those that know... So, if one wants to go to marry a fish, he will learn to talk the language of the fishes : she was not alone in the world.......

As much as i HATE FB, it has dating groups that are geared towards pairing western men with Filipinas. The advantage of these over other dating sites is that most profiles weren't set up JUST to attract a mate. So you can often really get a feel for someone's personality, demeanor, and interests. 2. Get to know several prospects at once, and let them all know that you just want to be friends at first, and that you are also communicating with several others as friends. True romance takes time and develops gradually, starting with friendship. So why place all your eggs in one basket? By friending several, you can observe them with a clear head, with others to compare them with. And you can avoid becoming too focused on one, as the Pea properly warned of. Take your time in the friendship stage, as you are looking for a LIFE partner. 3. Videochat, Videochat, VIDEOCHAT!! Dating sites are chock full of scammers! But scammers HATE videochat! Because it requires acting while lying. It is exceedingly difficult to scam someone in videochat if you follow rule 4. 4. DON'T ignore red flags! If it doesn't feel right, it almost certainly isn't. Trust your instincts. Common red flags include: Early requests for money, early use of terms of endearment, fishing for personal information, sob stories, answering questions evasively, ending conversations at awkward times, or ANYTHING that doesn't feel quite right. By following these rules, i found my true ❤ online. In August, we will celebrate our 5 year anniversary. She is truly the Yin to my Yang! I hope all of you find your true love!

This video..... This video was spot on in every single way. Oh my God, it was hard to let go of the girl i was talking to. Asked my friend about this and he was like she's definitely scamming me. And another friend and his wife(she was born and raised there). She knew she either had a boyfriend or kids or both

Not gonna lie, I'm at the halfway point with what you said. A very nice Filipina from Iloilo struck a conversation with me on Facebook nearly several years ago and we still talk nearly every day, I care about her a lot but I wouldn't say I'm in love with her. I've never left America and honestly can't say that I plan on it, in fact if I'm being honest I only even found your channel while trying to learn more about her (mainly how to speak Tagalog, since I like learning foreign languages). So yeah, what your saying doesn't particularly apply to me, but I can still see the value in your advice.
