The Jam thing makes no sense to me😂 Cream cheese is sticky and viscous, jam is easy to spread and drops off the knive. So you have a strong base of cream you can spread the jam on as opposed to a slidy jam base you are trying to spread the cream on😂

i have never heard of anyone eating a pork pie like that. that's something to take home and have slices from and put in the fridge or between multiple people with other food. my parents would make what they called "salad", but was basically just bits and bobs. especially for tea on Christmas day in the evening after the big lunch, with leftovers from that, pork pie, cheese, crackers, breadsticks that kind of thing

No no no, of course the Englishman is going to mess up the history of Welsh Rarebit. And it’s not supposed to be called Rabbit, it’s a derogatory term the English used towards the Welsh. The Welsh invented beer cheese on bread and have the earliest recorded history of this recipe. All cheese with bread combinations come from this quintessential Welsh recipe.
