Actually pretty similar to tokio hiranos morote seoi nage video. He has a one step version with the right foot falling osoto then crossing over to step back with a full body turn though. A move better for a smaller more flexible judoka I suppose.

Travis, when are you going to do a video on using judo in street fights?
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
Not sure.
@pelejahosoba52804 жыл бұрын
Mr .Ree concerning street fights as a judoka ,if u do your randori well and use it on street fights u could kill someone, lastly all Travis Stevens videos are applicable in street fights if u are realistic and open minded,all his tutorials work in street fights, I used his tutorials in three street fights and it worked smoothly with no stress,and also used it to win randoris,trails and competition
@pelejahosoba52804 жыл бұрын
@@TravisStevensgrappling I feel all your videos are most and easily applicable in street fights, unfortunately I did it thrice using your tutorials and it worked smoothly and easily, especially the tai otoshi videos
@pelejahosoba52804 жыл бұрын
Who else noticed that Travis Stevens tutorials are established facts and not just a trail and error situation like other coaches on KZbin, dumped all of them on discovering the Travis Stevens channel

You forgot to mention that you need to really get a big step and pull your first step or you can run the risk of blowing out your opponents knee.
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
Never seen anyone blow out there knee with that technique so that’s news to me.
@rexhamilton63814 жыл бұрын
Every time I try to get kuzushi I fail. It feels like the opponent is anchored and won’t budge. How do you get someone off balance who knows what you are trying to do and resists? It’s probably just me being old, fat and unathletic.
@TravisStevensgrappling4 жыл бұрын
I think you just need to work on your footwork patterns a bit!
@tyhatfield71564 жыл бұрын
Love it brother I love working on all that stuff and go to different angles and then a lot of times I pick people up step backwards throw them right on their head!! if I have to if people know that turns what you do into a self defense move! One thing that’s also funny is no matter how much Jujitsu I have, no matter how much wrestling, no matter how much stand up punching in kicking I know. Every single fight I’ve ever had in my life was one throw in there was like no more thank you
