I've just come out of a nine year relationship, my partner left me out of the blue. He doesn't want kids (even though he's been saying for years he wanted kids with me), he doesn't want to get married (even though he'd dreamt up his perfect wedding with me), he wants to transition (I was fine with that and willing to help him through it), and he doesn't want a monogamous relationship. The way he did it has left me feeling very broken, lied to, and not worthy. I've been finding it hard to look forward and trust people again. I agree big time that honesty is important, waiting too long to talk about stuff can really hurt people.

I have very bad excema on my arms. Me and my bf went on this date to a really fancy restaurant and I decided to wear a dress, but then I saw how bad the excema was acting up and I felt very ashamed, but he put his hands on my arms and said, I didn't fall in love with your body. I fell in love with your personality. I pretty much nearly broke down in the restaurant. Having someone want you for just who you are is the most special feeling in the world.

I've been in a healthy relationship with my boyfriend for nearly 3 years now and I'm so happy with him and I feel like we'll be together forever but honestly... You made great points with this video, When i was in 8th grade i was 'dating' this guy and at first it went great for a few months but later we both decided to break up and we should have left it there but, we didn't and soon enough since this was all online he started to ask for things that i felt uncomfortable doing but i did anyway since i believed that he would make things better instead of realizing that i needed time to love myself. this lasted for months after until my school and mom found out what was going on. She told me it wasn't my fault and that to me was bigger in a sense because it seems the media blames us for sending things that weren't meant to be sent when a predator manipulated us to do so. When looking over this experience and watching the video it made me think of what happened to me and what i wish i knew so thank you for this.

So I'm going through your vids and I think I'm gonna comment. I want to say I was with a mentallty ill person, but it was just toxic. I didn't break up with that person because of her being mentally ill, but because she destroyed me physically, she was hypocitical and overall toxic. She didn't listen to me, didn't accept me as a person I am, made me guilty of everything what happened and of who I am. I was blinded with love. At first I thought it really was my fault and I should be understanding, but some friends showed me that it was her bitchy attitude most of the time. It was half a year as I was feeling like shit and really had gone through hard time with myself. I really hated myself because of her telling me she is sad and cries because of me and turning my friends away from me. If you are in that kind of a relationship, break up. No matter how ill that person is, it's toxic and it's killing you. Don't let them abuse you because of their sickness, they can't do more because of that and you deserve better. Love and support from me, even if it's late, stay healthy!

I'm doing the same thing you used to do before you met your current boyfriend. I stopped dating a little over a year ago, and I'm waiting until I'm 22 or 23 to date again as well. And like you my past relationships weren't the greatest as well. All my relationships were awful and it made me not able to trust anyone. I struggle a lot and it takes so much time for me to actually get a doctor to understand what I go through mentally. I've lost a lot of partners because of my mental illnesses and it sucks. I believe I have borderline personality disorder or bipolar II [but we aren't sure yet]. My relationships are all over the place with everyone and I can't help it if one day I hate you and the other you're my best friend forever. I rely on people to keep me stable but when they take it to heart it's hard. I finally found someone who is like an anchor to me and not in a bad way. He keeps me from floating off and running around crazy because of my illnesses. He knows that I am not my illnesses and under these suicidal idealizations I am a bubbly person. He does not take what I say during an episode to heart. He knows I don't actually want to die, I just want to be okay.

Practice. Lots and lots of practice. As cheesy as it sounds, every morning give yourself a compliment. It doesn't have to be a big thing, just say something like "I know you can do 'X' today. I believe in you. " If you're not there yet then take a page from Jordan 'Problematic Papa clean your room' Peterson. and just, every day get in the habit of cleaning your room. Even if it's just a little bit of picking stuff up at a time. It can give you a small sense of accomplishment to build on, and you can just take it one day at a time from there. (But also seriously don't listen to Jordan Peterson about other things. He's really not a good person to listen to aside from that one bit of self-help advice. )

I just left my ex boyfriend because he was being really suicidal and would not let me get him help. I told him I was there for him but he never cared. Obviously he moved on 2 days after and seems happier. My best friend was there for me tho and he really has helped me. It truly feels like a miracle to find a partner who loves you when you are trans and also asexual/ sex repulsive. My ex made the relationship to hell because of this and after roughly a year I broke up with him. Now last autumn I met my now gf, we first were friends, she knew that I am trans cos I told her after a week or so. We basicly dated for 2 Months or so but I am an oblivious stupid kid and didnt realised she had feelings for me like I did for her even tho we told us that we love each other. One day she refered to herself as my gf and I was like: "OMFG is this real rn ? OMg YASS I love her and AHHH" Now, like a week into the official relationship whe I realised I was in one, I slept over at her house and I was realy anxious about it but I told her that I propably will never want to have sex with her and she was so ok.
