It looked like an artisan piece and the turquoise color was stunning. Btw if Nattie is happy behind the divan then we should all be happy. She wants to see who is coming through the gate so that specific spot is her ideal perch. Also, I was thinking her printer could go on a fancy coffee cart on wheels perhaps made of brass/antique. That way it could be wheeled out of the way quickly when the piano bench needed to be in place for a performance.

SO IMPORTANT!!! ...I have a chinoiserie black lacquer low coffee table similar to Stephanies that I keep covered in beveled glass because of its artistic/craftmanship value ...but it is slightly lower than Stephanie's and somewhat wider (almost like a low-style eating table) ... and with white iridescent (w/ pink & blue highlights) mother-of-pearl inlay of a male & a female peacock(s) and flowers & stylized framing or edging. It is very detailed & lovely. I've told my husband to send it to Stephanie if I pass before him. I hope that is a long time away!! 🦚💗🦚

You should get a Ring doorbell or camera on the gate that will also alert Natty that visitors have come through the gate. I was quite against getting a ring doorbell for our house (but we saw a good deal on Amazon black friday) but it has actually been a godsend and alerted us to a man coming to our door with a toolbox at 2am. We are sure that he was going to pick our lock but when he saw the ring camera and sign saying that he was on camera, he swore and literally rang back down our driveway. I think it stopped him breaking into our home. I also love that it detects movement so we always know when anyone is coming to our door, plus being able to talk to deliveries through the doorbells when we are away from home. Xxx

I use to bartend at News Café in South Beach Florida ..maybe you've heard of it… It was the last place Gianni Versace was at before his life was taking...I only misseed him by a few hours when I was working, we had some of the best desserts I think even today in my life I've ever had... their at News Café. We used to have tiramisu that we would punch about 10 holes in it with a straw while it was laying on its side and pour about a half a shot of amaretto over top of that and serve that with an espresso/Frangelico flavored latte. It is so lovely. It's a perfect late night pick-me-up or a day luncheon dessert.

Steph, Philip and chateau friends, you all should have a progressive stay week. Book a certain amount of people who stay at one chateau for a couple of days then move to the next chateau to stay etc. that would be a fun week to visit each of the chateaux. What fun to have so many friends come stay. Thanks for the vlog.

I was thinking they could pitch the "progressive stay" plan to guests/travelers who want to stay at different chateaus as a way of traveling around France as tourists to see more of the country than the typical tourist(s). Perhaps these special guests who stayed at (at least) three chateaus would get a discount of some sort. Unless they are completely booked up all season ...this may be a way of getting even more customers.

I noticed on the table that the large candles were sitting on small plates to match those that you were eating from. What a clever way to tie them in and also protect the table cloth from wax. What a wonderful start to a fabulous visit! I loved the veil so much! My mother married in 1966 and wore a pillbox hat with just a small tulle veil. Everyone who sees the photos gushes at the beauty and simplicity and straight away compare the look, along with her dress, to Jacqueline Kennedy. I've preserved it shall i ever marry. I would seriously consider going back to get it as an option! The tulle could easily be replaced. You looked simply amazing, and it could at least be a base to build upon or just serve as inspiration should you go another direction. I look forward to the rest of the visit with the gang! What fun!

Regardless I think it's the bees knees that you've decided to get in touch with other Châtelaines when there's lovely things that need rehoming! And SO great to see you all together hunting for treasures, eating and having a good time. I'm thrilled to see little Lancelot find a best friend of his species! It's so important dogs have other pupps to relate to, and although I'm sure Molly does care more than she lets on, Baudelaire is just that bestie he really needed to look forward to playing with again 💕 I'm shocked, 46 € for all those Luneville plates?! My mum has that exact set, with the big pink tulips, it makes me so nostalgic. I'm sure she payed alot more than that once upon a time in France. I think Natties strategy for her desk is superb. And the daybed in there brightened up the room. I didn't know you've gotten bees now at Lalande! That's wonderful! I always had a secret dream of keeping bees one day, as I enjoyed going with an older relative to tend them and collect honey many moons ago. It's always great to contribute to healthy bee populations and pollination, although I know it involves alot of know how and very careful care. It makes me so very angry that some of the vile American insecticides previously banned have now been given the green light in Europe. I'm very worried for the bees and birds. If you can, please sign the petitions of protest against this circulating social media atm. It can make a difference (it's happened before!) Big love to all of you! ❤

I just love the wonderful taste Vivienne has in jewelry! Cameo types are truly so lovely and Romanic. But I maybe am not able to afford some of the antique jewelry and yet would love to support in this way as well and certainly they are worth every penny! But does not stop me from watching, dreaming and just waiting in case one day the right moment and the right piece will show up at the right time. The doors certainly can open up and happen. But cannot believe how great she is in choosing the right pieces. For me if I get to a store it would take me hours to figure out what I like most. Also, with books I will spend a day! So would never be able to chose like Vivienne does. (I think it must be a gift, to shop like she does, and not spend hours doing it!?) Love seeing the jewelry and what she will find next! Very exciting!

Fun watching Lancelot w/the guest's dog, doing the 'who's-more-dominant' thing. 🥴 The more I peered at the Grand Canal painting, the more it grew on me...I think it's probably the light, because there's lots of towns on waterways throughout Europe. Just beautiful, with the limned clouds overhead, which, along with the water, have movement... "Frumpy sleepwear is like catnip to me." 🤣
