Thanks for the very clear information! I've made one bra, and I was very proud of my sewing, but the bra was too small, so I got frustrated and never made another. I measured correctly but, no dice! I do think my wires were a little too big as well.

Great video Liz!! I avoid underwire because I felt like it was complicated. I recently did video about the jordy bralette, and I really enjoyed sewing it!! I am feeling confident to try sewing a bra with underwire now. Thanks for sharing!

I must try this method - I made my first bra with bra tulle and it looked great, but my second used bra foam and all of a sudden I was spilling out under the arm and it all looked wrong! I think the underwire may have been the wrong size, but the tulle had more give and so made up for it... 😅

What if you are 2 different sizes? Should you do each separately, then how would you make the adjustments on the pattern?

I am having a difficult time deciding whether a 42 or 44 underwire fits me the best. When choosing between 2 sizes, would you recommend going with the larger one or the smaller one?

What do you do exactly when the wire that matches your body is bigger than the one that the pattern says to go with. My body matches a 40 wire but I’m a 36A and pattern says to use a 34 size wire 🤪 how would I go about altering it?

I'm really new to bra making, so please excuse if this is a dumb question. I have VERY small breasts (77cm underbust and an AA cup). I never liked wearing wired RTW bras and I'm wondering is a wire is even necessary for small breasts like mine? I usually don't wear bras or just bralettes without underwire. I enjoy sewing unwired bralettes and would like to make a "real" bra but am unsure if it would be worth the time and money as I don't really have much breast tissue to put in a bra to begin with?

What about a wire from an old bra that fits well? Could I use that to measure the correct size?

you really need to use something that is malleable so you can get your exact shape

LizSews I've made quite a few Anna's, but have never had the fabric required to do the pattern's skirt. One day!

The maxi skirt is sooo long even for me (5'9"). I lay the panels out salvage to salvage and just don't worry about the bits at the bottom of the pattern piece that don't fit. It's still plenty long and saves a ton of fabric!
