We decided this weekend that one of the things we need to get into a habit of now for our full time life style is to see how it is to travel around our car to see things we wanted to see. It was about a 2 hour drive to where we wanted to end up. So we figured that’s no problem it would take us about five or six hours round-trip. Nope. By the time we got home we were on the road for 12 hours. Now we have to learn how to travel in our car once we park our RV and go see things

Going on 30 years on July 10, just started full timing in a 41’ fifth wheel in Eastern Ontario Canada. Today is July 8th and we started a 2 month long tour of Canada’s east coast for our anniversary.

Happy birthday and anniversary. We will celebrate 47 years next month. We are part timers and have crisscrossed the country our whole lives but so much more intentionally since we retired. We went from Ohio north to Prince Edward Island, to the icons of the east coast and west to the Pacific. We have an Aliner camper that suits us well. We white water rafted the Grand Canyon for eleven days, zip lined and glacier walked in Alaska, did a night hike to Kilauea with both sunset and star gazing, explored Avery Island in Louisiana and so much more. We know we won’t be healthy long enough to continue this indefinitely so we are enjoying the moments while we can. I’m 71 and my husband is 72.

We were married 37 yrs in June. We’ve been many places on anniversaries, the most memorable were at 20th yr in the Grand Tetons and the 35th in Key West. We took a seaplane to Dry Tortugas on our anniversary. Probably our best fireworks was in between Jackson and Moose on 4th of July. We pulled over to watch the ones in Jackson and there we fireworks behind us, too. We had 2 sets of them going at once.

My uncle was the boat Captain for crew that discovered and pulled up the remains of The Queen Ann's Revenge, Black Beard's ship. I hope you guys made it to the Maritime Museum in Beaufort while y'all were in the area. (And the wild horses on Shackelford Banks) I have so enjoyed watching your adventures in this area. Spent my childhood visiting family all along the Outer Banks. And lived 5 years myself just north of Wilmington in Jacksonville at the Marine Corps base Camp Lejeune.
